Hi all AH members and happy new year,

My wife and I are looking at our fist ever hunt in Africa and are here to find as much information as possible before we book a hunt.
We both turn 50 this year and just had our 30th wedding anniversary last July. Have never went to far from home, as it seems we are always on a tight budget.
That being said, we are looking for value, fun, memories and some great trophies to enjoy for the years to come.

Welcome. Just start reading.
You have found the resource for getting yourself well informed on the subject.

Welcome aboard! Lots of info on AH to draw from, best of luck!

Welcome to AH!

Thanks to all AH members. I know this is the right place to be for information and help with the questions I have.

Top of my list is the iconic KUDU and NYALA.
Kudu needs to be 50+ for a shoulder mount. A large Nyala would be great too.
For now these would be shoulder mounts. I do like rugs and euro skull mounts for others that I will add to the list later.

8 to 10 day hunt/tour or fish is about what we are looking at for time.
We will add more as we learn more here @africahunting

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Nice one there. I guided for mulies and elk for about 10 or so years in northern New Mexico.
