Planning for my first African Safari for 2021 with one of my sons. This is a fantastic forum. Lots of information and good advice. We attended the Dallas Safari Club Convention this last weekend and talked to a few outfitters. So many questions and so little time. This forum will help answering those questions.

Welcome to AH. Here is my best advice for your first safari, skip the shoulder mounts, go with the European Skull mounts and use the cost savings to fund your second safari because their will be a second one and maybe even a third.

Welcome aboard gdugg. Hunting Africa with your son will an event neither of you will soon forget. Have the two of you been doing any hunting in the States? For what? What African species were the two of you thinking about taking? BTW your timing is perfect for a first timer.
