Start with the polling booths and go from there. Maybe the Democrats have a point?
I don’t think anyone is proposing a voter ID card. Just show your other identification you already possess?

Yes I agree a watermarked state ID or USA passport or passport card
A some people need a refresher course in Civics ( I just had two people tell me I can’t vote for who ever I want to in the next general election because I voted straight ticket in the primary election) idiots!

Would it be your fair assessment that Iran has a vast tunnel system similar to what Hamas did have? I ask because if so, it took IDF ground troops to destroy the tunnels to prevent Hamas from firing missiles and drones at Israel. I fear Iran too (maybe is now) may resort to the same plan as Hamas with regards to how they are continuing to fire missiles and drones despite being heavily bombed. Thanks!

When they started talking about voter ID being discrimination; Texas countered the nonsense.

In Texas you can get a state issued “voters ID Card” for free…. It’s an DPS issued ID that is good for any action that requires an ID(other than driving) and is good for 10 years.

I also believe this voter ID card meets the requirements for boarding a plane on domestic flights.

I see one problem with it "being free". Let's say Jane Doe was born in MA, and got married in NY, changed her name after and moved to TX. Never got a passport or anything that proves she is a citizen.

She has to figure out how to get a copy of her birth certificate from MA, and pay for it. She has to figure out how to get a copy of her marriage license from the county she got married in NY and pay to get it.

After she goes through all that then she has to present those documents to prove citizenship and get the ID.

I can see why people say it is a poll tax as people are paying to be able to vote.

Now, I agree that only legal citizens should be able to vote, but the same people advocate for this are also against a National ID card that is required in every other country.

Not like Hamas. Hamas had a primitive, though extensive, rabbit warren underneath Gaza. Iran's network is far more sophisticated. Their weapons storage facilities, launchers, even much of the production is buried in Iran's very mountainous terrain. Their doctrinal battle rhythm is to mate warheads with missiles in these underground depots, then set the missile on its launcher, drive it out of an exit, elevate and launch.

Obviously, they are well protected by such construction. However, the US has a lot of weapons capable of reaching these targets. They are also relatively to Identify via reconnaissance. The nuclear facilities are so deep they required massive ordnance penetrators. The majority of the conventional facilities will be vulnerable to 2000 lb penetrators. Also, closing an exit at least takes the weapon off the table for this campaign.

When such a storage facility is breached by a penetrator, the results can be rather dramatic, and lots of materiel has been taken out of the fight before launch. This is one targeted yesterday near Quds. Note we were able to do so in broad daylight.

Do they use conventional jet fighters to drop those penetrators, or bombers?
It depends…

The F15E and the F35 both can drop a 5000lb deep penetrator munition…

But the really big boys like the MOP (30,000 lbs),etc.. require a B2…

My distant understanding from the grumblings on Reddit is that people say if you need it to vote, then it should be supplied by the government? Kudos for Texas for getting out ahead of that argument.

I saw an article today that stated this offensive against Iran has a cost over $11 trillion so far,? That seems pretty steep. I don't know the accuracy of that report.
That's almost a third of the current national debt.

Based on previous engagements the initial estimates are usually low.

Actually any U.S. Born citizen can walk into a social security office and they will print you out a document that lists every name that has been used.

I didn’t know this was possible until a random conversation with a man that worked at the local social security office in Austin doing just that.

A local bar rat of a woman overheard and immediately started a fire storm of questions, I believe she had been married five times(all were Marines oddly enough) and who had lived all over the world by the age of 60…..

Let’s just say this woman made poor life choices and had yet to get a Texas DL despite living there for years and her Colorado ID was about to expire.

Next week I’m in the same bar and this woman comes up to Ernie (the social security employee) thanking him because she was able to get her Texas ID.

I remember cursing the social security office for allowing this woman to establish residency.

It’s not without consequence though, I was slightly upset that I had to go into an actual DPS license center to get my TX DL renewed. I had to make an appointment and was out the door in 20min.

Then I thought about it, I had renewed by mail then online constantly since I got my DL; first time I had been in a DMV since it took the test.

With the massive amount of illegals in Texas with fraudulent ID’s I’m glad we have to appear in person every 8 years for a “real” ID; and I want it just as secure to vote as it is to get on an airplane.

$11 billion not trillion on reports that I read

The Real drivers license is essentially a national ID, the management of issuance is handled by the states. Same with state issued ID cards; they are recognized in every other state, just like a DL. Can't imagine the cluster***k it would be if it was managed by the feds. It's bad enough with the states in charge.
I have no issue with making people jump through a hoop or two to be allowed to vote. In this day and age, every person born in the US must get a social security number immediately (parents have to submit the paperwork). If someone wants to vote, then jump through the hoop of acquiring proof of citizenship. The SSA will give you what you need if you don't have a birth certificate. BTW, one of those can be ordered from whichever state you were born in. I know, because I had to order one to get a passport (Mom couldn't find mine, lol)
CO has bastardized the legitimacy of voting with their voter registration when you get a DL; without proof of citizenship. But look who sits in the governor's seat and which party controls both houses of our state legislature and it becomes obvious how and why the system was put in place to enable this.
Without an ID, you are not allowed to buy liquor (I get carded more now at 64 than I ever did when I was 16), you can't get on an airplane, you can't buy a gun, you can't drive, along with a number of other activities that require ID. Why the hell should we allow ANYONE to exercise what is arguably the most important aspect of our Democratic Republic, and vote, without the simple ID that proves they are eligible? Personally, I want it to require some hoop jumping. We have allowed it to be too easy to circumvent the requirement of citizenship and walk into a voting booth. Get an ID. It isn't hard (enough). If it is important to someone to vote, they will go through the process to get an ID.

Why can't she use the same REAL ID that she needs to board an airplane?

Not everyone has REAL ID or fly. I have employees that don’t and have not flown for decades.

Heck, here in CA one needs to provide proof of citizenship and two separate proofs of residency like utility bills for REAL ID not everyone has that either. Especially, if one is renting a room with utilities in one of the roommates’ name. A lot of hoops to jump through.

Regime change my a$$...you are burning one billion dollars per day for what..? Setting the middle east ablaze..Dubai, Oman, Bahrain..Saudi.. Hormuz de facto closed..crude $101 per barrel and rising..

What the hell are you people doing...conducting a holy war against Islam along with Israel..??

Is nothing learned from Iraq and Afghanistan..?

This is a disaster..
