Hi y'all! New member here. I'm wanting to get some good recommendations for PH/Outfitters for my first Africa trip. I'm wanting to go big and get a Cape Buffalo under my belt. I'm not chasing inches but, I do want an old bull or better yet a dagga boy. I'm open to places to hunt and haven't decided exactly where I want to go but I was thinking South Africa or Zimbabwe. I do know that I want to go mid 2028 but, if anyone has any good recommendations for a PH/Outfitter it would be greatly appreciated.

Spear Safaris, info@spearsafaris.com.
We can also offer free range Buffalo in the Greater Kruger, South Africa. 150 000 acres of wild.
I await your email?
Cheers Ernest

Hi @BBeard
I'll definitely be able to assist!
I've send you a DM

Dieter

BBeard. Those locations are night and day as one is a wild free range hunt and one is fenced. For Zim (or Mozambique) contact Gary Duckworth at Mokore safaris. Feel free to tell him I sent you.

I am also happy to chat

Good day sir.
I did send you a direct message, with some information on our Buffalo hunts we offer in the Lowveld region of South Africa in the Greater Kruger.

Be sure and talk to Tsala safaris. They have you covered.

I can second that! My brother and I will be leaving June 1st to hunt Cape Buffalo with Tsala Hunting Safaris!

I hunted with them in 2024 and took a very nice Cape Buffalo 42in with near 17 bosses!

That’s who I’m going with for my first safari in ‘28

Bbeard,

First off for the best experience go to Zimbabwe. It will provide you with an authentic and wild experience. Go with a safari operator that own the lease on the hunting area. A free-lance PH can provide a good hunt, but he doesn't have much invested in the area. Hunt with the guy whose living depends on the well-being of his area.

Nick Bowker Safaris on the Eastern Cape, SA. Long shots, free gun rental, lots of game, no deposit.

Tsala Hunting Safaris area in South Africa is absolutely amazing! I can absolutely say that the quality of Buffalo there is fantastic, I saw one bull there that was over 47 inc but still a little soft. He will be an exceptional bull in a few years when his boss hardens!
