What a great website! I've hunted a lot here in the West and Canada (although I am still looking for moose and mountain goat). I am planning a plains game hunt in South Africa next year, and hopefully a buffalo hunt the year after that. If I am not hunting something (big game, predators, waterfowl, upland game) or fishing, then I am shooting, reloading, or tying flies. And if I am not doing those, then I am probably reading about it!.

My wife thinks I lost my mind decades ago.

Hello and welcome!

Welcome to AH!

You joined the right crowd.

Welcome to AH.

But she's still with you and that's what counts. While I grew up on the east coast, I prefer to think of myself as a displaced Idahoan who lives in Phoenix now. Completely in a state of turmoil not presenting a PMD to a wary trout this time of year. Welcome to AH!

There are a number of us on the site from Colorado.

Welcome and enjoy planning that upcoming trip.

Welcome fellow Coloradan! Enjoy. I too was an Africa virgin. Just got back from Namibia and I can tell you it was fantastic. You'll become an addict.

Welcome aboard sir!

Welcome to AH dpswift! You found a good place to get your fix... Nice to have you with us!

Well don't worry about what your wife thinks. Mine says my brain is on a different planet![emoji15]

Welcome to the posting side @dpswift!

Another from Colorado here! Welcome. Made my first trip to RSA last year and heading back in September. I'd say you've got a good plan going!
My plan is to return every year I can. At nearly 70 that may not be too many. Guess I started a little late.

Welcome aboard. What caliber rifles do you own? Plains Game hunting in Africa is a "hoot." Nothing like it in the States. Have you already booked your hunt with an outfitter? What animals are you planning on taking?

Had an excellent classifieds transaction with JoninCO. A truly honest and standup member. I wouldn't hesitate at all to deal with him again. Thanks, J!

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
