Once In A Lifetime Pictures

Two pie bald whitetail deer I killed a few years apart. We seem to see them in my neck of the woods once in awhile.

It's really mixed with some people wanting to keep them around while guys like me are dying to hunt them down lol. The pie bald are usually smaller and I suspect less healthy than the normal colored deer. When they have siblings to compare to from the same mother the normal ones are always a lot taller and heavier.
My cousin , who also hunts, gave me a bunch of shit about shooting the first one . They are still two of my favorite and most unique mounts. I'd shoot another in a heart beat if it was in season and I had the proper license

A little Roni reassurance that it would be over soon. He stopped leg shaking and calmed down. Still was pissed when we administered anti drug and he got up[emoji3][emoji3]

I often wonder if I was worthy of such a good friend and mentor in the field. Photo of myself and Robert Lucero with the only Wyoming moose I will ever take. Rob was killed in Iraq 2003.

@KMG Hunting Safaris you are so correct on that. On a side note I wasn't to far from your area on this safari. I was Hunting with Eardley at Blaauwkrantz, I was in sensory overload, when he told me to take the Diker I was still jet lagged, and I said that I don't want to shoot that little thing. He said SHOOT so my thoughts were; guess he just wants to see if I can shoot. Little did I know that as far as the record book kinda animal goes ithis little guy was very respectable. When the tracker was very excited and patting me on the back I thought I am not sure why but this must be a nice trophy.

I have no idea the shipping cost from here to Costa Rica. I can do my research on shipping and get back with you later today.

I didn't see your request re: ship co’s. My last shipment was 2023. Quotes from SBS Logistics ($1,198), Badger Cargo ($1,184 - used them) & AHG Trophy Shippers ($1,746). AHG owner's an asshole so wouldn't have used him anyway. Eastern Cape - Houston, TX, so your mileage may vary. NEVER use Karl Human Taxidermy aka Wild Africa Taxidermy on Eastern Cape. Trophies arrived shattered with no padding/packing material.
