Mozambique eVisa

I was in Namibia last year and it wasn’t long after they started their new visa requirements. I just did like @Doug3006 did, got a basic letter from my bank on their letterhead and that sufficed. No personal info on there except my name and DOB, which they have already on my passport.

Namibias new e visa required that and I just screen shot one of my checking accounts and cropped out any actual information besides $$

They also required proof “travel insurance”
I don’t use travel insurance for a cheap hunt in Namibia
So I uploaded a crappy blurry picture of an expired blue cross blue shield US health insurance card lol :ROFLMAO:

The e visas ask for all sorts of shit and I just uploaded random BS. No one is actually checking. TIA

Just upload fake screen shots of what ever and I would bet you would be fine.

This E-visa situation is new and we are having to navigate it for the first time in Moz. I like the idea of a letter from the Bank just stating "there are sufficient funds".

Travel insurance is prudent anyway.

Well, since I depart in less than 4 weeks decided to tackle the new Moz ETA web site this afternoon. What a pain in ***!
Have to upload several documents
Passport, airline information, Invite letter, financial document (I used bank letter). Passport size photo(pain to get cropped to the size they wanted and uploaded.
Then the questions of mode travel, entry point, province, and district where staying.
Took about 1 hour to get thru it and all uploaded. Fee US $47.27. For
This is just Electronic Travel authorization, it says you will still get Visa on entry.
Will let you all know if approved way I filled out

Appreciate this info Mark, very helpful for those of us going in the future!

I'm planning on being in Moz in 2027 for hippo, bull buff, and croc.

What's the time frame for applying for a visa?

My outfitter is picking me up in RSA then we will be driving to the Moz outfitter lodge. He just said I would get my visa on entry.

Getting ready to navigate this as well for my upcoming hunt with Zambeze Delta. They sent an email on how to do it and their office staff offered to help. Gracy Travel also has/offers assistance in completing.

Morning All

We just had a client going through border post without E-visa two days ago.He made it trough although it was a bit of a process and they did ask specifically for the e-visa.Brandon is currently hunting , I will get more info tonight and get back to you all. This process was introduced in April of 2026 and never communicated by the Moz government to us.

Bank visa letter seems like a good option instead of statements. The E-visa needs to be done at leat 48 hours before arrival at border according to their info.

We should have more info soon.

Best Regards

Rouan

Time Frame. Says allow 48 hours prior to entry for credit card processing and review.
Will let you know when I get confirmation
I checked this morning and says processing is all.
Outfitter will need to supply you some of the information needed. Jo with Tsala sent me everything needed.

UPDATE!
Just received email with approved application
Printed out several copies to have with me.
If anyone has any questions to what answers if used will be glad to let you know

I did use letter from bank, with name, address, passport number,
basically, it stated I had sufficient funds to be in Mozambique for a minimum of 30 days
signed by a bank VP

Don’t do to far in advance it seems.
Mine is valid from date I submitted 05/17/26 to 07/16/26. Issued for a two month window

So this is now in addition to the visa you used to buy on arrival?
Yes, seems to be, this is an ETA, Electronic Travel Authorization Form that you do and pay for to get your actual Visa upon Entry it seems.

Just for future reference, there are several countries in Africa where the most difficult part of application is meeting the maximum file size. I found the easiest thing to do is send the photo to someone on WhatsApp then screenshot it and crop it on your phone. I spend several frustrating hours before learning that.

Ya I had to Download an adobe file compressor just to get the PDF files to meet the insanely small size requirements

Very frustrating. I’ll have to try the what’s app thing next. Seems easier

You might have edited your post on the PH in the Bubye. I know the PH and is a wonderful person and a fmaily man and runs a succesful business in Zim and just doesn't want the attention that the internet offers, the ugly kind.

Hello,

Am I reading your post correctly to say that the Tsavo rifle will be coming out with a composite stock later this year? I ask because I had been looking very hard for a Tsavo, but if there is going to be a composite stock model I will wait for that.

Thank you for your time,

Andrew

Saw your post. Nice. Denver too. Genesee area (just off 70) if ever up this way. Alternatively, do you have a membership at GGC? Whatever, you'll have a wonderful time in Africa. Enjoy.
