Hi,

I just wanted to introduce myself to everyone new member to the forum. I've never hunted in Africa before but was thinking about maybe planning a hunt there in 2018 since I've heard good things from other hunters. I was hoping get some help and advice from the forum. I'm thinking of a Elephant or Rhino hunt in Namibia or South Africa but I'm open to suggestions, I wanted to travel with my family and have young kids so wanted to go with a Outfitter that could accommodate that and be comfortable for them if possible.

Thanks
Abby

Hello and welcome!

Welcome aboard Abby. AH is certainly the place to get answers to all of your safari related questions. Please tell us a little more about yourself i.e. what have you hunted previously, what kind and caliber rifles do you own, do you reload etc.

Wow! An elephant on your first Africa hunt! I’m trying to build up to an elephant. Good luck but just remember once you’ve been there, you’ll be addicted! Enjoy your planning and welcome to Ah!

At Kalahari Safari, the Small Things Are the Big Things
The thrill of the stalk. The stillness of the wait. The age-old rhythm of the hunt.
It’s not just about the size of the trophy. It’s about the stories that will be told for years.
We believe the memories are the true prize. The small things are the big things.
And we’re proud to offer a hunting experience that honours exactly that.

Not sure your price range. Have a 375 H&H with a muzzle brake. Nice rifle only fired a few times. Also a Mossberg 375 Ruger its been used and shows a few hunts on it.
Two African Safaris Hunted South Africa both times,
9 game animals taken
