Welcome to AH.

Welcome David. I'm from Minnesota also although a bit North of you.

Yea many Outfitters can accommodate your needs. You can shoot from the truck if you wish. And if you cannot climb up into the back, you can probably hunt from the front passenger seat.

In fact your timing could be great. Check out the threads about Bossie at @Limpopo Big Game Safaris. He's probably going to be a bit gimpy himself for a while. Maybe you guys could make up quite a pair;) Knowing Bossie pretty well, I'm positive he'd put a custom package together for you at a sharp price. Perhaps some hunting out of blinds, some out of the truck, and some short walks if you are up to it.

Welcome to AH, David!

Welcome aboard David. I'm sort of beat up myself. I have two bad knees and can painfully manage a hundred yards or so before I need to get off my feet. I've been on two safaris. One in 2016 and one last summer. Be up front about your physical challenges and your outfitter and PH will do everything in their power to get you on some good animals. On my last safari I bagged an SCI Gold Eland and a Gold Nyala. Your 375 H&H will work just fine.

Welcome from Chaska, you'll like it here

Hello David,

Welcome to the forum. Bad knee won’t hold you back too much in the right area.

Let me know what your looking for....

All my best,

Jacques

Welcome to our forum David. If you want to hunt, there are outfitters to accommodate you!

Welcome to AH sir!

Welcome! I’m in Minneapolis, so we suffered through the same winter.
You definitely will find accommodations. I hunted with Jamy Traut safaris last summer. @Jamy Traut Hunting Safaris
When answering my questions about good shooters, PH Louw Lotter told me about one gentleman who was an amazing rifleman but had limited mobility. The hunter took a full bag of game.

I'm about ready to pull the trigger on another rifle but would love to see your rifle first, any way you could forward a pic or two?
Thanks,

Love your rifle! I'm needing a heavier rifle for Africa. Sold my .375 Dakota Safari several trips ago. Would you have any interest in a trade of some sort involving the custom 338/06 I have listed here on the site ( I have some room on my asking price. I also have a large quantity of the reloading components and new Redding dies as well as a box of A-Square Dead Tough ammo.
