Hi,

I keep stumbling across this forum as I'm looking into a bigish bore rifle, so I figured I may as well join and take part.

I'm a deer stalker in the UK, but I'm about to buy a .375 ruger guide gun for self defense on Arctic expeditions.

I've been to Greenland twice and I'm planning a trip to Svalbard for 2017.

I think there are a couple of larger bore's that are for sale right now that might serve you well.
Think they might even be in close proximity.

This rifle is purely self defense against polar bears.

My rifle is in the country, I'm just waiting for the legal stuff to be sorted before I can collect it.

A few weeks ago. My flo came out last week. He's new to the job, but I don't expect any problems. I'm hoping to have it conditioned for deer too.
