Hello from Washington State

Welcome to AH Jim! Glad to have you as part of our community and looking forward to reading your posts! Have you hunted Africa yet?

Welcome to AH Jim.

Howdy!

Well you're just getting closer by being here... ;) And do not hesitate to ask any questions.

Travel from Washington State to Africa is about eight to ten hours longer but the time flys by. Travel with firearms wasn't any trouble through SeaTac and Importing trophies wasn't much problem either but I didn't have CITES animals.

And my sympathies is you live on the "wet side" of the Cascades.

Welcome aboard Jim. What do you hunt in Washington State? What kind and caliber rifles do you own? Do you reload?
Hunting Africa was on my "Bucket List" also. Now going back is on my "Bucket List." Stick around awhile and this site will get under your skin. In no time at all you will be planning your first African hunt.

Glad to be part of such a distinguished hunting community!

"Distinguished"?? Thanks, I think.....Glad you are here, tell us about the hunts you have already done and hope to do.

Welcome:S Welcome:

Welcome Jim! I want to caution you not to go to Africa. Once you do, you'll want to go back asap! Very addictive to get to pull the trigger until you're out of money on some of Mother Earth's most beautiful animals!

Go! You'll never regret it (as long as your wallet can handle it;)).

Welcome. It's a great site. My only problem was I found it after going to Africa. I'm from Oregon. Be careful about wanting to go to Africa. It'll grab you by the soul and one trip will never be enough. Already talking about the next trip!!!

Welcome to AH sir!

Welcome! I am many fond memories of growing up and learning to hunt in eastern Washington and northern Idaho, having lived in Spokane for 7 years as a kid. Seize your opportunity to get a hunt in Africa. There are many good outfitters/PHs that are sponsors on this site and a plains game (PG) hunt is a really good value when you look at it on a $/animal basis (at least that's what I tell my wife). It really is a great experience and a trip to Africa has a way of changing people (for the better).

Welcome to AH! sure you will fit right in

Nice Report! Im about to pull the trigger on booking the LDE with Patrick. I have been talking about it with him for about 3 yrs now. Romain hit me up the other day with an offer I can't refuse for 2027.

Andrew, I commented that your on 375 H&H for sale was the fair price.

Like I commented, my classic stainless has the original 24” barrel.

Did you buy yours with the barrel already cut down to 21” or did you do it (or a gunsmith)?

You might have edited your post on the PH in the Bubye. I know the PH and is a wonderful person and a fmaily man and runs a succesful business in Zim and just doesn't want the attention that the internet offers, the ugly kind.

Hello,

Am I reading your post correctly to say that the Tsavo rifle will be coming out with a composite stock later this year? I ask because I had been looking very hard for a Tsavo, but if there is going to be a composite stock model I will wait for that.

Thank you for your time,

Andrew
