Greetings from Australia!

G’day and welcome. Nice rifle, to good to take out the scrub but that’s what they are made for I suppose. Mines only a basic CZ
I see a few Aussies already found you, we spend far to much time here.

Aussie_Hunter, welcome to the AH forum! Better to get to Africa ASAP! You won’t regret it!

They will tell you its addictive.
From joining the site and setting foot on Africa was just 9 months. Something that i had always dreamed of.
I took a cull hunt and enjoyed it but i also came home with thinking i want to hunt more in Australia.
The Northern Territory has always been a dream too.

I have a bit more hunting to do in Australia yet before I head to Africa. I'm hoping my next scrub bull hunt is only about a month away, just a bit wet up here in North Queensland at the moment

Good evening All,

I have read a few articles on africahunting.com so I thought it was time I signed up. I haven't hunted Africa myself yet but I plan to change this some day. I am a big game hunter from Australia where I hunt a lot of what we call "scrub bulls" and also water buffalo.

I own a RSM chambered in 375H&H and also today I just purchased a Kimber Caprivi chambered in 458 Lott. A picture of my RSM below.

I look forward to reading and chatting.

Happy hunting!

Welcome aboard mate I'm sure you will like this site. My family hunted Namibia Sept to Oct last year and had a ball. Looks like you are loaded for the big stuff. Like your toys.
Greetings from the central coast of nsw

The warning is from someone who is addicted. I have been twice to SA. Zimbabwe this year and I am already looking at elephant hunt in the future. Where in Nth Qld you from?

Hello, there, and welcome to the gang. When (I won't say if) you go to Africa you will be afflicted with the incurable condition of having to go back every chance you get. There is no cure, the only treatment is return trips. Side effects are you will be bit with the bigger bore fever and the handloading frenzy. Seems we are always looking for the next something, be it rifle, bullet, pet load or trophy.

If the excitement of big game gets to much for aussiehunter he may have to relax with a sedate plains game hunt. Either way once the bug bites that's it. You may have to buy more toys to hunt the smaller stuff tho like a 35 Whelan or an 06 or even a 275 cal Rigby stalking rifle. Aerogaurd doesn't keep the bug away only more shooting works. Ha ha ha ha
Cheers mate Bob

Welcome to the family and the forum Aussie_Hunter, you are in the right place! Looking forward to you sharing your stories!

Aussie_Hunter, please add me to the list of welcomers. Don't know why I missed you earlier. I really enjoyed your pig culling video. Is that the sort of thing you do for a living or is it just for fun?

That's just a bit of fun mate, I am a bit spoiled when it comes to hunting! Making the most of it while I can.

I just saw Budsgunshop.com has both the guide gun and the African for $1150. FWIW - I bought both and decided to use the Guide gun - I restocked it in a Bell and Carlson stock and I added the Alaska arms floor plate to add a round. I wanted the shorter barrel as I will use a suppressor. I wont go lower than $1100, but I will ship it and no sales tax.

Let me know if you are interested
