Good day from Flanders

As a newbie I like to shortly introduce me.
I live in Flanders, Flemish speaking part of Belgium and hunt in Germany; mainly on wild boar (my absolute favorite), red deer and roe deer. But I'm on the look out of planning a trip to Africa. Thought I would learn a thing or 2 over here, regarding my endeavours, hunting in the old continent. Grtz K
Welcome to AH

Welkom hier, there is even Belgians living in Africa here

Large part of my family living in Moerkerke.

Welcome aboard Keiler. What kind and caliber rifles do you own? Do you reload? AH is a fantastic resource for hunters and shooters. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.
Thanks, I'm a bit of a rifle-gun freak I guess, so I've a few.
Rifles:
It all started with a Mauser, mod 94 in 9,3x62 and a 7x64barrel to change it with, but I've never done that, I like the 9,3x62 so much that I'm actually mostly using that caliber, but in an other rifle actually.
Next was 6,5-284Norma because at the beginning there was only 1 hunting bullet available for this caliber, and rifle makers focussed on getting everything right for that bullet. Or so was I told and as a result I got a Blaser R8 in the caliber, lovely gun - nice bullet performance and you can really easily change barrels, so I had to get a 9,3x62-barrel for this system and that is actually my most used rifle, simply because I can see the impact in the skin/fur of the animal.
Then I got the opportunity to buy a very clean (practically unused) original Marlin, stainless steel guide gun in 45-70gov't. A blast to shoot with :-)
Next is a heirloom; Express Carbine, FN B25 Double rifle in 9,3x74R made in Belgium, which I don't really use, but my Krieghoff Classic in that same caliber I use quite a lot.
Quite recently, so I don't have that much experience with it, is a Voere 2165 in 9,3x64 and those last 2 I would like to take to Africa.
And than I've a few smaller calibers: 22LR in a Krico stutzen, 22-250Rem in Winchester model 70 and a Sig-Sauer in .223Rem.
Also a Unique Alpine is sitting here in calibers 300WinMag and 308Win, from when I used to do some 'longer' distance shooting.
Shot-guns: I don't have that many, I prefer larger game hunting more, but once I a while we'll have to scare the crows :-) so:
Sabatti 12ga juxta, Laurona 16ga juxta (but he has an automatic safety and I can't get used to it) and a Winchester Trap superposé in 12ga, some pumps Mossberg 500A & a Remington 870 both in 12ga and last but not least 2 heirlooms FN B25 and B26 both in 12ga superposé.
Pistols and revolvers: a few Glocks in 9mm, 10mm & .45ACP, S&W in .357Mag mod 686 & 60-9 and Ruger Blackhawk in 44Mag.

I'm still considering an extra double rifle probably in .450/400 NE <if I go higher (.500/416) I might be recoil sensitive, never had the chance to try and compare them- maybe someone on the forum can help me>, in Krieghoff Classic Big Five. And maybe a heavier bolt action if 9,3x64 would be sufficient I might be thinking of stepping up to a .416Rigby in a real Rigby, if find the finances to do it. Both those rifles breath Africa Sportman Hunting to me.

Since Norma changed their 6,5-284Norma bullet offerings I'm thinking of reloading, I also think I would save me an euro or 2 in my 9,3 shooting

That's quite the collection you have there, very nice!
Which gun store do you habitually visit, for the larger bores? Pletsers?

Krieghoff is imported by Appermont in Beverst and I know Koen and Ben quite well, the Voere I bought by Hendrik of targetshooter in Riemst and Blaser is imported by Pletsers. I'll have to check where I should be able to find a Rigby.

Keiler, welcome to the AH forum! Your gun collection looks like you are going to fit in here quite well. This is an excellent forum to help get you to Africa for your own dark continent adventure.
Best of luck in your planning!

I read an older thread that mentioned you having some 9.3x64 brass. Do you still have some? I am looking for 100 pcs, maybe 200.
A wonderful trip to Hungary with a very special friend !
