First trip to Africa

Hi All,
My name is John Luitink and my wife and I just scheduled our first trip to Africa. We will be hunting with Mokore Safaris in Zimbabwe on their Sengwe Research Area from Sept. 6-15th. No real goals for a certain animal, just want to go with an open mind and try to enjoy the whole trip. Reading threads and doing as much research as possible.

I'll be using a rifle, never been much of a bow hunter. Just doing plains game. I'm hoping my wife enjoys the trip...it may make planning the next trip a bit less troublesome.

John, welcome! You should plan a little side trip, either before or after the hunt, and go stay a few days at Victoria Falls. Bring an extra suitcase or duffle bag and load up on the African wood carvings.
