I've had an interest in shooting and hunting my entire adult life. About 2020 I found an SCI record book of African trophies for 5 dollars at the thrift store and realized some of the more inexpensive African hunts were less than hunting similar species would cost in Texas. More recently I picked up a bargain Model 70 in .375 H&H which has rekindled my interest in going to Africa someday and causes quite a stir when I visit the local range so I am of course already considering something bigger.
