Sweet rifle! Love the stingray leather. Is that a custom piece or is it an upgrade offering? By the way, great conservational arguments in the Netflix documentary. I really enjoyed it.

Will thanks so very much!
Yes stingray leather is an option amongst many other leather offerings for the R8. I had to wait a while on it but wow pretty neat!

Still considering selling my rifles and investing in an R8 in 375 H&H and 300 WM. Keeping a Leupold VX6 1-6x for the 375 and VX6 2-12x for the 300 Win.
Oh I’m such a dreamer!

@Philip Glass really nice video. Impressive modern rifle, but those shorts you are wearing are definitely old school PH. BTW, it must be nice to live on a ranch with your own shooting range and a 800 yard gong. I envy you.

Very nice!

Very cool rifle and video! I’ve never seen an R8 in person. Don’t think anyone in Colorado owns one? Really slick barrel change with the scope attached.

Indeed a fantastic rifle!
Does that Z8 have the color coded turret? I ask because of I’m trying to figure out what to set my Z6 with the ballistic turrets on. For now I plan to zero at 100 and the go 200, 300, 400 for the .375H&H and .300win mag and 6.5CM.

Did you add the kick stop? I put one in my son’s R8 and it makes a difference.

Final question, did you weigh the J Sip barrels?

your next video should be a rapid fire drill so you can demonstrate how fast these R8’s can be shot.

Keep your other rifles and just buy the R8 - it is what I did and is a far less traumatic course of action.

Nice rifle, I keep looking at the R8. Do you have the contact info for the barrel maker?

Just come off of some of that dusty old money you keep hoarding and buy US one DAD!!! I'll take 300 WM, 375 H&H and 416 Rem Mag. Thanks in advance!

Phil, how about sweetening the pot a little with targets shot at 100 & 200 Yards? BTW is that a wet weather creek or does it flow year around?

My wife and I did that very thing.
Sold our other rifles and will each have our own R8's.
Although I suggest, if you can afford it, to do as @Red Leg suggests.
Keep your other rifles and just add the R8.
For us it wasn't such a big deal to sell three rifles and get the R8's.

Hmmm...sadly it doesn’t appear Blaser makes an R8 with the 404 J!:cry: Guess I’ll have to pass!:ROFLMAO::LOL:
Whey! I needed some excuse!

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Nice one there. I guided for mulies and elk for about 10 or so years in northern New Mexico.
