Does anyone care to show of their rifle?
I saw nice pics of an engraved Blaser somewhere so if anyone has pics of pretty rifles feel free to show them , engraved or not.
I quoted something @BeeMaa said and it got me thinking about Blaser and others.
Show em off life's to short to hunt with an ugly gun.

Some would say that a Blaser IS an ugly rifle...
We can wait for @spike.t to mention this.
The timber on my wife's rifle is beautiful.
Needs to be seen in person to really be appreciated.

They are not “Ugly” they do look unconventional. I do like the look of a nice traditional bolt action hunting rifle.
Mrs BeeMaa does have a nice stock and in that price point I would prefer Timber.
I also saw Strasser rifles online and I liked the styling of the forend, but they are limited in cartridge sizes and I don’t think they even have suit a .375H&H so they bottom out pretty early for hunting calibres. I think they are a similar concept to the Blaser switch barrel etc.

One of the things I like about Blaser is the magazine location.
Being located directly on top of the trigger is amazing.
It shortens the OAL of a rifle by about 3.5-4".
This also puts the scope mounted directly on the barrel.
Which I also see as more accurate vs. mounting to the receiver.

I'd say these things contribute to the unconventional look.
A look made for hunting.

I agree that they are not “conventional” but I would not call them “ugly”. I am not ashamed of being seen carrying one. ;)

I sure enjoy shooting and hunting with mine. They are all tack drivers even when configured with different barrels.

Here is a couple of my R8 set ups.

Yup ugly..... :E Shrug: if you zoom in enough you can only see the stock...so that part is nice...:E Big Grin::E Big Grin:

JMO, but when you look closely at all the parts and pieces, springs, plastic, detailed machining, multiple axis of machining, etc, nooks and crannies dirt can get into, I’m surprised they don’t fail. Comparing them to a ‘98 design, they are very complex.
Of course what would one expect from German engineering.

This is coming from someone trying to sell enough guns to buy one!

You mean German engineering like the Mauser?

I believe the key word is had. I have not seen it their catalog lately. Frankly, that the only one I would consider purchasing.

@CBH
Mate I hunt with nice guns it's the person using them that's ugly.

I sort of agree the wood is nice but the action is over engineered for my liking.. you get what you pay for and I prefer simple, elegant and doesn't bust my bank account. The blaser just don't do it for me.
I could switch barrels and bolt heads on my savage in 15 minutes but what's the point in having multiple barrels for one gun, you can only use one at a time.
My luck is I would have the wrong caliber at the wrong time.
To each their own. Use and enjoy your blasers and have fun.
Bob

I have an R8 professional success in 6.5 x 55 swede along side my Mauser 98s in 9.3 x 62 and 404J

The R8 works just fine

That is about as excited I can get about it

Now if you want me to talk about the Mausers I'll get a bit more enthused and emotional .....
Post your Pretty rifles then.
Mauser, Rigby or any other nice rifle.
Bob had a nice looking Whelen but he sold the pretty one.

I like the Timber, I would not be opposed to hunting Bear with the Composite stocked one,
We’re you hunting Bear? Any Bear pics?

Just wanted to say thanks for the excellent customer service. Ordered some 9.3x62 brass and the delivery was a little short. An email through your website Contact Us link was replied to the next day with the tracking info for the correction. Good pricing coupled with great customer service will see returning customers every time. Thanks again!

X5i scope is perfect - thanks for an easy transaction! Buy with confidence.
Made it to Augusta Georgia yesterday for a meeting, hunt bookings are looking good for 2026 and 2027, had a great time on our Alabama safari shot a rutting deer at 200 yards with 7mm PRC near Huntsville and then headed on to Butler Alabama and semi guided my first deer ever shot a very nice broken off 8 point with hunter there and spend a few days on 1100 acres hunting preserve awesome place!

I am righthanded, so not interested in the rifle, but I have a 375 RUM and 350 gr bullet loading data is very hard to come by. If you could reply with information regarding your loads I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Ray Boone, Leavenworth, WA
