Okey..so enlighten us how Trump will handle this Hormuz mess..? No coalition support..

Escort tankers with US destroyers..? For how long..? Escorting single tankers or convoys..?

I doubt that Lloyd etc. will grant tankers insurance.. What a mess..

Dave West..you will support Trump no matter what he says or does...your call..

You know perfectly well there has been negative reactions to him wearing a base ball cap at that occation.

On this one I think this IR policies are flopping.

The public and ask and refusal is a loss. And the refusal was almost guaranteed because his personal insults and style of commenting on foreign powers has made helping him politically toxic in most western democracies. His own poor conduct has made it just about impossible for leaders in other countries to help him. In Canada, looking like you are onside with Trump would be close to political suicide and I bet it is similar in the larger european economies as well. His style and undisciplined language has hurt him.

It seems like he is finally learning one of Churchill's maxims "There is only one thing worse than fighting with allies, and that is fighting without them".

You think a guy who claims so much deal making experience might realize that if you want to ask other parties for assistance that you just might want to have built up some good will with them first. Germany and others may be paying high gas prices, but high gas prices are not going to help Trump in November.

I dont disagree at all...

Im just not sure Trump cares how other world leaders think of him or whether or not they would be choosing political suicide by aligning with him..

I honestly think he sort of wears it as a badge of honor in some weird way..

I do wonder how the mid terms are going to turn out.. I admit I suck at calling elections (I was certain Hillary would be president.. was certain Trump would never be President.. was certain he wouldnt win the primaries this last time around, etc..)..

Right now Im inclined to believe that the house will turn over and become blue after November.. and that the R's will just barely retain control of the senate.. which would render Trump largely ineffective on anything he would want to accomplish his last 2 years.. we'll have a government that wont be able to get anything done..

Which probably means one or the other party will actually landslide based on my prior election cycle predictions lol..

I think he wont handle it at all... that down deep he really doesnt give 1/3 of a crusty rat turd of care about how impacted Europe and China is..

The US feels a little bit of pressure.. but the pressure is negligible compared to what Europe and China is feeling..

And the O&G industry here in the US is ramping up like crazy... it has the ability to offset some of the pain the US feels in fairly short order..

So.. either there will be coalition support...

Or.. Norway will pay a shit load more for gas... and.. Trump wont lose any sleep over it at all...

My point exactly...Trump doesnt give a rats ass about the situation..

Japan and South Korea will feel the impact..allies..but who gives a shit..right..?

Norway is bathing in crude, BTW..and ramp up O&G industry as well. Little impact in Europe..

I understand your point, but Norway is probably not a good example...

True... But I believe Pondoro is from there? And he appears to have more sand in his ass crack over this than anyone else lol..

You misunderstand..

He gives a rats ass about the situation...

He simply doesnt give a rats ass about you...

Those are the cold, hard facts..

Unlike previous presidents that actually worried about what the EU, European leaders, the Supreme Leader, and others thought... Trump cares not a bit..

Regarding Japan and South Korea (and anyone else).. Trump has made it clear.. youre all welcome to come participate.. if you are experiencing something negative, he's happy to have you be part of the solution..

But.. if you dont want to be part of the solution.. he couldnt give a damn if you are suffering the consequences..

I get why they are an ally, I just don’t get why it seems like they can do no wrong, and they need to be put on a pedestal. Unless they do in-fact control the world, then it all makes sense.

Maybe too many Barbra Kay opinion pieces in the NP have jaded me.
The simple fact that you know Barbera Kay writes opinion pieces has jaded you my friend.

Europe know that Trump dont give a rats ass about us...thats one of the cold hard facts of life (Ed Bruce..).

So why on earth should we be part of a coalition..?? Trump and Israel need to clean up this mess.

Jesus are you dense or something? The only way that your country or my country or any country not the u.s. is going to achieve any sort of trade stability is to be on trumps good side and the only way to do that is to partner with him on something. Protecting merchant seaman being targeted by a terror sponsor state seems like a pretty easy sell to the public and a good olive branch for future trade deals with trump unfortunately you along with my government are both to stupid to see that.

Why the heck should Trump give a darn about you and your oil-rich isolationist government?

I couldn't figure you out but then I remembered this short video,

Oh.... Trump makes me sad...

If you know it.. then the question is.. why keep whining and crying and bitching about it?

all the complaining in the world isnt going to change anything..

this is especially true when the whining and crying is over nonsensical bullshit like whether or not the President of the US should wear a hat... all that does is make even those that dont think much of Trump think less of you..

Trump and Israel will without a doubt clean up "this mess".. the problem youre going to have with that is they are going to clean it up to their liking, to their standard, and to their advantage..

If you dont want a seat at the table.. Trump isnt going to care.. he has little to no respect for NATO, the EU, or Europe at large..

But.. not having a seat at the table also means your opinion and what you value and what is important to you means nothing to those making the decisions..

Its a tough place to be in if youre Europe..

But to believe that Europe didnt play a role in getting to where it is right now and that it is innocent in everything is disingenuous..

He may be from there indeed. I did read somewhere though they have heated sidewalks in Oslo and have built a spectacular new opera house that I really need to visit.

Any nation that doesn’t assist with the protection of vessels in the straight including mine has wasted a golden opportunity to one do the right thing and two make inroads with the U.S. administration that can only help in trade talks.

Can’t be that hard to sell it to the public your working to protect innocent merchant seaman while also working to help stabilize oil prices bring the price of oil down for the consumer while also buddying up to the guy who hands out and can remove tariffs.

Europe and Canada disagree with you on this.. Carney seems to have made up his mind..

Gotta disagree with you here. Most of the world and its major corporations are working on ways to run their businesses without the U.S. as a reliable partner, and literally building infrastructure to avoid being so dependent on the United States. Canada, as I suspect you know, will likely conclude a free trade deal with India this year. Also, Canada's second largest trading partner is no longer China (as of last year) it is now the U.K. For another example BMW is pouring money into refurbishing their X3 plant in South Africa so they can sell those vehicles to markets (including Canada and Mexico) previously serviced by South Carolina, because with the trade wars the U.S. is engaging in it is the best way to make a profit. If you go to your BMW dealership today and order a new X3, their biggest selling model in Canada, it will come to you from South Africa now, not the United States. Other companies are doing exactly the same thing.

Despite the U.S. tariffs China exported more goods than ever last year.

The idea of getting on Trump's good side is an illusion. He is mercurial and short tempered. Nobody trusts him to stand by his word and stick with a long term deal. No business or country is willing to tie their prosperity to a guy who sets policy based on his blood sugar surges. Why make a deal with a guy you don't think will abide by it?

Secondarily, he acts like a bully. And nobody wants to give an olive branch to a bully. It just invites more aggression.

You must know more about her than I do

@Tubby’s Canteen is a conservative Canadian.. Of course the liberal government of Canada and the liberal governments of Europe disagree with him..

The question is whether or not the liberal Canadian and Europeans governments are bettering their nations by purposefully opposing Trump or if they could obtain an advantage in aligning themselves a little bit more..

I hear you complaining quite a bit about the Straights of Hormuz..

So what exactly is Europe and Canada prepared to do about it other than whine?

And when nothing changes to Europes advantage.. whats the solution then? More whining?

Hello,

Am I reading your post correctly to say that the Tsavo rifle will be coming out with a composite stock later this year? I ask because I had been looking very hard for a Tsavo, but if there is going to be a composite stock model I will wait for that.

Thank you for your time,

Andrew

Saw your post. Nice. Denver too. Genesee area (just off 70) if ever up this way. Alternatively, do you have a membership at GGC? Whatever, you'll have a wonderful time in Africa. Enjoy.
