Biden is a walking sack of grifter excrement. I wouldn't shake his hand, let alone interview him.VP of USA is a pretty high bar regardless of who is holding office.
Fuel up .44¢ a gallon this afternoon.
I'm no expert on the oil industry or trading market, but how come they are raising prices on fuel that was produced prior to the Iran war?
Is this because of the panic-ans on Wall street? Is it a legitimate supply and demand issue? Or is it a way to quickly profit off of the situation?
Dont we have a pretty good supply of oil here on the home front were the USA could keep prices stable ?
I don't have a big problem paying a little extra right now if it means the world can get rid of an America/Israel hating terrorist dictatorship......but damn!
Seems pretty sketchy to me. We went from $2.99 to pushing $3.50 in 2 daysThe reason they raise prices immediately is due to what economists call “replacement cost “ (IIRC). The gas station owner or company has to think about what the cost is going to be for the next tanker truck delivery.
Regular gasoline prices have gone from about $2.25 to $3 per gallon in my area in recent days.
I guess you wouldn't make a good journalist if you would limit your interviews only to people you like. Probably interview very few people, if any.Biden is a walking sack of grifter excrement. I wouldn't shake his hand, let alone interview him.

Well, you'd have to have an open and inquiring mind, which would preclude you anyway.I have too much self respect to be a journalist
I have plenty of inquiring mind, I just wouldn't sell my soul to the facade of the fake journalism that is so prevalent these days.Well, you'd have to have an open and inquiring mind, which would preclude you anyway.
Don't forget about all the fee'sAs a comparison to @Tanks and you, on my small ranch near Fort Collins, I have a domestic house water well and a stock well near my barn/shop plus I share another stock well with a neighbor. All the water costs me is a little bit of electricity to pump it after an initial $35k to drill the wells. I have a 1000 gallon propane tank that powers a back up whole-house generator that will run everything including my A/C if the utility power goes out.
Thanks to TABOR (Taxpayers Bill of Rights) offered up and passed by Republicans many years ago, taxes in Colorado can only be raised by voter approval on the ballot, which removed the legislature, counties, cities and school districts from being able to pass tax increases. Property taxes on my 3300 square foot house, 1280 square foot garage, 3200 square foot barn/shop, other infrastructure and pastures are around $4000 per year. We do have sales taxes on food and goods but reasonable. Colorado income tax is fixed at 4.4%. Isn’t it amazing how efficiently things can be done when you tie the hands of the government from raising taxes?
The only way to change TABOR is also at the ballot box. It has been tried but has never been passed by the voters. Hopefully that continues. Now you know why so many Californians and Minnesotans moved here but still vote poorly.
Yep, the Colorado liberal leglesature has found a way around having tax increases needing to be voted on by the people.Don't forget about all the fee's
Much better from my side to have a place for members to go…and to think those discussions ran through dozens of threads before @BRICKBURN got sick of it and started the Politics thread. I’m sure he loathes the day he did it.
Jerome on the other hand probably loves the post count Brickburn inadvertently created.![]()

to be spread everywhere.Yep, yet another way to cheat around the Tabor Act in addition to continually floating bills to codify ways to slowly gut Tabor. Sooner or later they will succeed, then there will be no checks/balances to their insatiable appetite for more tax money. Happening at every level. When counties have trouble getting property tax mill levies passed, they simply walk over to the assessor’s office, have a wink wink meeting, then presto!… valuations magically go up giving them the tax money they didn’t get via the mill levy on the ballot. Happening in all counties, including historically conservative, Republican, counties. Money and power are truly addicting.Yep, the Colorado liberal leglesature has found a way around having tax increases needing to be voted on by the people.
They fee you to death on everything that should be a tax and voted on. It's all about the money they can get from you.
Yes, there are some fees but we still are a whole lot better off than most states. I’ve got family scattered around the country and it’s robbery what they pay in taxes. Property tax valuations still are way behind the true market values but I know that only matters if you sell out.Yep, yet another way to cheat around the Tabor Act in addition to continually floating bills to codify ways to slowly gut Tabor. Sounds like your cousin has led an interesting life. Real journalism occurs when one can divorce themselves of their beliefs and listen to an often opposing point of view. This does not mean compromising your values but broadening your horizons in an effort to understand other perspectives. With that being said, I will still advise against the use of a 6.5 in Africa. Please correct me if I am wrong.I guess you wouldn't make a good journalist if you would limit your interviews only to people you like. Probably interview very few people, if any.![]()

Mate!!!!! Just brilliant!Well, you'd have to have an open and inquiring mind, which would preclude you anyway.

Refineries buy oil every day. When they produce gasoline with oil bought yesterday at $60/bbl, and the price today is $75/bbl, they have to replace the barrel they produced with the more expensive barrel. If the price of oil then drops back $60/bbl, should they reduce the price they charge for gasoline made with the more expensive barrel, or charge the price justified by the more expensive barrel they actually used? If they did, though, they couldn’t compete with someone who has made gasoline with a barrel bought today.Fuel up .44¢ a gallon this afternoon.
