Yup. My room was on the north side of the house and had a broken window. Many a morning I woke up with a good dusting of snow on my bed. The first two summers of my life my Dad was a fire watch on a mountain. I slept outside in a hammock all summer til I got snowed on in October. Then we moved down to the village for the winter. When we started school we walked down to the main road to catch the bus regardless of the weather and walked home after school.
