Welcome to AH! Lots of great people here!

Welcome aboard Gluff. You already know how much fun hunting Africa can be. I'm sure that the thought of having a Buff. on tap for your next trip brings smiles rather than frowns. Re: a 416 Rigby, keep your eyes on the Classified Section. They appear quite often. There is another similar caliber that will float your boat as well. That being the 404 Jeffery. I never heard of it till I joined AH. Now I own two, as well as one in 416 Rigby.
Well I did it… I bought a CZ550 magnum IN 416 Rigby. I found it on line at pawnshop in North Carolina ( beltway gun and pawn) purchased the rifle and had it shipped to indiana to a local FFL. When it arrived The scope was damaged but beltway gun and pawn refunded me the cost of the scope with no hastle…. Excellent customer service ( quite a rarity now days) took the scope off and shipping it back Monday, Went and put 3 rounds thru it and remembered…. it packs a little punch. Happy to have a 416 Rigby…As much as I talked about the 416 for a minute my wife thought there was some other girl out their named Rigby LOL.

Welcome aboard mate! Enjoy your stay. Plenty of knowledge and good people here.

Welcome to AH, @Gluff . If you can find a 416 Rigby in CZ, snap it up. They are becoming more and more scarce.
I have one myself in 416 Rigby, but dont discount the 416 REM possibly in a Winchester M70. Its a very good rifle for the price.
All the best with your research.

Take Care,
Marius Goosen

Gluff, you are kinda new here and may not know of the feeding problems CZ(s) are infamous for. Make sure your rifle will properly feed every / all of the rounds out of the magazine. Some new ones feed well right out of the box; others require some TLC. When they work, CZ(s) are great rifles. If yours needs help, "holler" and we'll tell you where to send it, unfortunately most gunsmiths don't know how to correct this issue.

Awesome, Thank you for the info… I’ve only shot three rounds through it some Hornaday ammo . Is there one particular brand that CZ’s don’t like? Or is it just rifle specific.

Welcome to AH! It is a great site, glad to have you here.

Just wanted to say thanks for the excellent customer service. Ordered some 9.3x62 brass and the delivery was a little short. An email through your website Contact Us link was replied to the next day with the tracking info for the correction. Good pricing coupled with great customer service will see returning customers every time. Thanks again!
