Hi, I have been reading this forum for some time, now. I am greatly impressed with the level of data and detail surrounding the harvest of game I see written on here. It is informative and refreshing to read about how various calibers and ammunition performs in the real world. My main interest in joining is to learn more about hunting in general, as well as to enhance my understanding of anatomy (animal, deer types mainly) and terminal performance as relates thereto. I work in the medical field by profession, but animals are a new thing for me. I shot my first deer last season, using my m4 and ra556b (64gr nose bsb).

Thankyou, all! As to the last post, yes, I recognize that I am not an exact "fit" for the forum at this time, per se, but I am here for the personalities and the knowledge as outlined above, as well as to contribute what I can, as well.

My secret hope is that one day someone will catch me at a financially sound time, and twist my arm into an actual African safari type hunt. I feel like it would be a very enriching experience.

I like my M4 and all that, but honestly, I'd get something more suited to Africa, if I went to Africa, if only for the sake of "the experience".

Well, one hopes. I find that we become who we associate with...we will see!
