I’ll attempt to tread lightly in answering this question to avoid inciting another Sabatti debate. I purchased mine used and it is a cabela’s gun. It had the original regulation target and I inspected the bores to ensure there was no grinding. So far this seems to be one that shoots well. I definitely acknowledge there are ones out there that don’t. Action is solid and triggers not bad. If you have one that is properly regulated I think the real question comes down to longevity. There are some great posts in this forum that get into comparing the craftsmanship and design of the sabbati’s regulation wedge vs guns in the next tier like the Krieghoff. I would agree that this is the weak link and probably doesn’t have the strength of the better designs. That said, I haven’t experienced or seen indication of any problems yet. I purchased because I’ve always wanted to try a double and thought I could tinker with this and learn some things before deciding to invest in a next tier gun. Overall I’m happy and even though I now have the Krieghoff, I’m not looking to get rid of it.Also how do you like the Sabatti?
