Hello everyone! My goal is to hunt kudu somewhere in Africa within the next four years
and I am looking for all of the advice I can get! My non-hunting wife will be coming along
to experience Africa and take lots of pictures.

Welcome to AH cookiejar5!

Welcome to AH, kudu is good place to start the dreams of hunting Africa.

You came to the right place to learn about Kudu. Welcome.

Welcome to AH Cookie Jar - Cookie robber...

If you are looking for ideas on where to go take a look at the outfitter section and look by country at the different options available and the reviews members have posted. Do some internet searched before you actually make contact you have the time. you will see a great differences in PH's Fees and trophies animal fees. Build a spread sheet to do a solid cost analysis for your safari to make your budget work for you. Then contact the top 3 to 5 PH's - outfitters and talk with them.

If you are able to narrow your trophy selection down to a top 5 animals, members will be more than willing to provide references on where they went and who they hunted with.

Jerome who welcomed you has his operation out of Namibia. A great start, South Africa and Zimbabwe would round out a trio of countries to do your searches on.

Try and find out what your wife would like to see, Victoria falls, Kruger Park, the Kalahari desert have her help in your travel plans and set aside a few days to do a side trip just for her. There are a great many places to see and things to do...I always set aside some days at the start or finish of my safari to experience a new area.

Welcom to the forum, as James said there are fantastic photo ops and Victoria falls is a must

Welcome to AH cookiejar5!!! Enjoy the planning.

Welcome to AH! Don't just limit yourself to Kudu. Lots of animals to choose from! :D

Dear Cookiejar5

Welcome to this excellent Forum. Participate in sharing your views on points of discussion, etc, etc.
Enjoy the planning process of a potential safari to Africa.

Our honest advise is to never estimate REFERENCES. Contact them for more information about Outfitters and their operation.

Enjoy the planning process since it is a huge part of the safari.

Namibian greetings

I have been using a "Personal Property" rider on my State Farm homeowner's policy to cover guns when I travel with them.
I have several firearms, but only one is worth over $20K (A Heym double rifle).
Very interested.
Would firearms be covered for damage, as well as, complete loss?
I'll can let the State Farm rider cover my watches...

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.
