2026 non trophy buffalo for two

Hi everyone,
I’m looking for a hunt in ‘26 for two or three non trophy buffalo each for two hunters. My hunting buddy is an older gentleman, otherwise in good health within the obvious limitations of age. Cows are fine, as are broken horns, etc. I’ve already got too many trophies in the house, and any more will incur the ire of the spousal unit, so the idea is to focus on the hunting, the time in Africa, etc, and to leave the tape measure at home.

I had a good time this past June doing pretty much that with @BAYLY SIPPEL SAFARIS after 3 cows. It was great hunting and we got very close to herds in the bush.

I saw several old cows that meet your criteria on a recent hunt there. Lots of buffalo present too, so finding several should not be a problem.

I highly recommend Derian Koekemoer Safaris. He has some really nice concessions with the beautiful Klaserie River flowing through with the occasional lion, leopard, hyena and wild dogs coming through. I hunted with him last year (see my hunt report) and shot a cow buffalo among other animals and had a great time. It’s a true tracking hunt and lots of fun. I’m hunting with Derian again next month. He has a great team with an other PH Christian, Tracker Geraldo and Johlene (Derian’s wife) who manages the camp and office. Derian runs a great operation, is honest and will work hard to get your animals.

I just went on a cow buffalo hunt about 3 months ago. I went with Derian Koekemoer Safaris near Kruger National Park. It was on properties that were mostly flat and would be well suited for people my age. Here is a link to the video of my hunt.

I have dreamed of hunting Africa for the past 50 years, and certain things were key in those dreams. Tented camp by a river. Baobab trees, Mopane trees. Crocodiles and hippos. Hyenas, Leopard, Lions growling at night. Buffalo in the thickets, eyeballing you. A tracker, following a trail through impossible ground, able to sense where the animal walked.
