So looking at getting on my hunt for 2027 not going to jinx it by telling all where.
But I’m having to sell my beloved Beretta S04
Pains me a lot as I brought it for my 40th as I always wanted a sidelock and this model was one of the very best win many Olympic golds.
Just thought I show some pics as I wait for the oil to dry between coats. Taking all the little scratches dents and dings out. Need to replace the pigskin cover on the recoil pad. Then it will be ready for the shop floor to help fund this hunt.

I’ll post more as I go along. Had one big ish dent from dropping a bolt on the stock but it steamed straight out.
It’s been a great gun for many a fine day. But I so want to go back to Africa so unless I win the lottery.

The workshop has a lovely smell of boiled linseed and fun oil at the moment.
Might be onto something if I can bottle that and make scented candles I could sell them here on this forum and it would help fund my hunt to Africa. I could see all you guys buying them for your wives. The look on their faces would be priceless when they let that bugger up.

such a nice stock, and yet you have obviously enjoyed and used that gun
i am the same, i hate to own beautiful things and not use them. thats why we have them, i dont own a single "trophy case" gun, they are there to be used and enjoyed

Pig skin turned up for the recoil pad.
Just don’t a test plug for the screw plugs. Only had this drill bit and no dowel the correct size so will see if this works.

Round 2. Cable tie gets a lot more stretch on it. Right side up this time. 24hr and we’ll see.
