We have just enjoyed a fantastic hunt with 3 of our German clients during a period that came with a wave of travel restrictions as well as general global restrictions. They have safely boarded their planes and are off home to Europe. Its obviously a huge strain on all Outfitters and everyone is feeling the pressure of the virus, we wish everyone success in these trying times. That being said we enjoyed a wonderful safari with some excellent trophies being taken including a 30 inch buffalo cow as well as a few other truly superb animals. Most of the hunting was done with an open sights .450 Rigby which made getting into range the name of the game and added an exciting new element to the hunt! We were hunting in the Limpopo province on one of our 3 home bases. What was amazing to see was the more than 4 thunderstorms during the 6 day safari so close to the end of Summer (mid to end of March 2020), it definitely bodes for a slower start to the archery season in some areas this year! Another interesting thing to see were the unusually high numbers of Jackal with the final tally for the safari coming to 5 (4 in the day and 1 at night) in total with an equal amount of opportunities that couldn't be capitalized on. The clients feedback was that they felt safe in the middle of the bush with us and were actually not opposed to extending the safari should the travel restrictions become exceptional. This is a great attitude to have and we wouldn't have minded hosting them for longer. they were a great bunch of guys and were constantly joking and laughing. If I could please ask that everyone not mind the fact that even they they wish to keep their identities hidden in the pictures for business reasons, they are some of the most passionate hunters you will find. Hope you enjoy the pictures and trophies! Hopefully we'll be back on track shortly after this 21 day isolation period and have many more reports for you all!

We hope to see as many of our clients as possible in 2020!
Kindest regards and best wishes,

Dempsey Bayly and Michael Sippel

Thanks. It’s nice to see beautiful animals again. Thanks for posting them. I hope you get many more to show us in the days ahead.

Thanks for reminding us of how these animals look.:rolleyes: It may still be a while before many of us see them again in person. Right now everybody needs to hang tuff, better days ARE coming.

Our pleasure! I wish we had more pics from this season to post but unfortunately we are in the same boat as many others. We all are hoping everyone stays safe and keeps their good health!

Beautiful animals, well done.

Congrats to the hunters and thanks for sharing!

Very nice animals, since I love to hunt with a double and do the work to get in close I can relate to the German gentlemen. The satisfaction is something they will remember for a lifetime.
I like the thought of riding out this crisis in the bush hunting, but by the time it was over I would have such a big hunting and taxidermy bill that I would be washing dishes, fixing fences, cleaning trucks,
and what ever tasks needed doing for a long time to pay the outfitter for everything:rolleyes:

Thank you for sharing as we will all be reading old hunt reports for a while. Everyone be safe till things get better!

I suggest not even having a body in the picture if the hunter does not want his face shown. There's honor and respect for a harvested trophy.
It is and always be a controversial topic. I know the one client was actually called out in the national trade magazine for his industry for being a global hunter which resulted in a lot of heartache for him unfortunately. Your advice will be noted and might be the way forward!

Thanks for sharing. Some great trophies.

What a fantastic adventure done properly! Is that a Rigby .450 or made by Mauser?
Thank you very much! It is a Rigby .450 sir

Beautiful pictures and I understand there reluctance to be identified.
Thank you for posting at least someone got a trip in hopefully many more soon.

I would be interested in it if you pass. Please send me the info on the gun shop if you do not buy it. I have the needed ammo and brass.
Thanks,
Ross
