Have you ever killed someone?

I won’t ever comment about my personal experiences regarding lethal force here or on any pubic forum. I have been present when suspects have been neutralized. Occasionally I enjoy sharing general information regarding situations I have experienced during my LE career but that’s about it.

I am really confused about the logic of this now. Azerbaijan has no US bases or anything to do with Iran. I wonder if the Armenians are doing it and letting Iran shoulder the blame.

If true, this scorched Earth tactic is going to backfire even more.

You bring up a great point about property valuations!

The elderly population in Oklahoma is screaming….
“No property taxes for social security recipients!”

The vast majority of these people haven’t had their property values adjusted since they bought/built in the 80’s.

These people want to put the property tax burden solely on working people of child raising age; the loudest proponent of this is a 75yo woman that has been paying $1,100 a YEAR in property taxes for her 3,800sqft home on 100 acres of lakefront property.

I think I would like her , here in my little town, the school taxes increase 10% per year
And the school board and tax board meetings are pure chaos,
People like me fighting ( literally) with insane parents who demand the schools and taxpayers give their children the above and beyond
Example
Parents want a taxpayer funded media center with a professional game caller for each sport to highlight their children on a jumbo screen at each home game.
It’s turned into a violent division of the parents vs the nonparticipating homeowner / older people who don’t have kids or have kids that have aged out of school
We shouldn’t have to pay for the education of other people children IMO
I don’t mind paying for road maintenance, county jail / law enforcement, ect,
But having my taxes double every 10 years for the school system F that

CA Prop 13, was specifically passed to eliminate that scenario. Democrats have been trying to get around it for a long while.

They’ve whittled it down some by removing prop 13 protections on inherited property you don’t live in.

It’s a shame because it hurts people attempting to build generational wealth for their families to inherit. It was painted as a way to increase the housing supply but the ones who will benefit are rental corporations who will continue to pick up properties to rent out. The poor will stay poor and the middle class will just invest elsewhere.

Fixed income…. She owns homes in 3 states Oklahoma, Texas & California where she has lived for the past 20+ years despite being “domiciled” in Texas and loves to tell anyone who listens that her California property provides “excellent mailbox money”

On the Iran war, 2 things bother me. 1, I’m certain China is closely studying our capabilities and tactics as a real-life beta test for their advantage for any future plans they have in the Western Pacific. 2, I’m leery of the resolve of the 90 mil Iranians who supposedly want a better gov. China is closely watching what happens. They are discovering that our military capabilities far exceed theirs. They cannot project power anywhere on earth the way the US can. This is going to be a big deterrent to war with China. China sees that it would lose. Our military is larger and more capable than the militaries of all the countries in Europe combined. We are the only superpower, and we have a POTUS with balls to use it.

I have had people boast about what they would do this or that, even though they have never done anything. I served 19 months in Vietnam as a Marine CH46 helicopter pilot, MOS 7562. Killing another human being is horrible. Trust me, it is not an easy thing to do.

Implying your boss approved your inside contract award in congressional testimony was not a wise strategy.

CH46 is not a Chinook. I'm not flaunting anything. I am just saying killing a human being is horrible, something you will live with for the rest of your life. I don't take the responsibility lightly. I am sorry if my view upsets you. I really don't even know how we got to this. Everyone who has been in the military especially the Marine Corps are a brotherhood. If you have served in combat that is another group altogether. I just commented that saying you will do something and doing it are two different things. Have you been in combat, not just a war zone but in combat. Now, let's move on.

Noem was marginal as a secretary. The advertising campaign was ridiculous. Especially letting her husband profit off of it. Saying the boss approved

A one two punch with Mullin and Homan is about as no nonsense as they come. Mullin should do a much better job than Noem. I just hope we get another Mullin and not another Lankford as Senator.
