My wife and I were surprised how much we enjoyed Puerto Rico. Beautiful place, and the people we met were very decent folk we have kept in touch with. Very well kept roads. Food pretty good, too.
My wife lived there for a few years. She had a wonderful time and was very well treated, but this was some decades ago.

Is legally protesting spitting at LEOs and damaging an ICE vehicle and then obstructing ICE with a woman a week later? That’s protesting?
Spitting is very clearly assault.

Having said that, I am not sure there was spitting on the day he was shot.

I don’t think Puerto Rico or its people are in question.

IMHO it’s the continuation of forcing people to accept the normalization of a cross dressing U.S. hating communist. Or be called a xenophobic, homophobic, racist.

Some of the upthread comments were pretty hostile to Puerto Ricans in general, and in fact claimed they were not American. But I would concede those are pretty fringe views, which is a good thing.

I don't follow Bad Bunny, but is he a communist? He looks to be making an awful lot of money for a communist.

The use of gender bending or sexual androgyny has a long history in rock or popular music. One of its earliest users was David Bowie, who I think did it as a true artist to push limits and explore questions and assumptions. Later great artists like Annie Lennox, or Prince, or even Motley Crue did the same thing, once again I think for visual or artistic reasons. I don't see much issue with any of them.

However this modern generation of gender benders, Harry Styles particularly comes to mind, and I might venture to put say Boy George or Pete Burns in with him, seem to do it for only the shock value or to get attention. I don't see the value in that. To me the offense comes from a "crassification" of what had once been a more thoughtful approach.

I don't think the NFL or Bad Bunny's record label give a rat's ass about the normalization of cross dressing or gay rights. They are in it for the money. I see them much more as venal posers than gender jihadists.

RLD, I agree with you. Morphing the anti Bad Bunny talk into anti Puerto Rico is ridiculous.

Many artist before him wore women’s clothing, used bad language on recordings, i’m not sure on the burning of the US flag if any did that before him. etc etc. None of those artists should be held in high regard for hero worship.

The difference here is the typical leftist mantra that anyone that doesn’t want to promote that lifestyle is somehow a narrow minded neanderthal. Once again, The onus is (on us) to accept his lifestyle or we are called the haters.

Blood boiling....note to self give up watching anything about uk....too depressing and anger inducing.....

Weird. The BBC is reporting about the Islamist yelling and the investigation is being led by the counter-terrorism unit.

Some cover up.

If you are going to engage in lawfare...at least you could use competent lawyers. This is just getting embarrassing now:

A Washington, D.C., grand jury on Tuesday declined to indict the six lawmakers, who include battleground state Sens. Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.) and Elissa Slotkin (D-Mich.). It marked another instance of U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro failing to clinch a high-profile federal indictment since taking over as the top prosecutor in D.C.

Sad news..... sources stating 9 dead and 25 injured in Canadian school shooting, at Tumbler Ridge BC.

Anyone want to have an over under bet on how long it takes Carney to start spewing about how more gun control is needed?
I am taking the under.

Weirdly, in this case, the perp is being reported as a woman. Very unusual if true.

He was not legally carrying. He had a permit to carry, he did not have the permit with him, Minnesota requires a CCW license individual to carry the permit.

If any one of us, decided to carry and we were stopped by police for any number of reasons, and did not have our permit, we would be arrested.

Given there are a lot of gun owners that read this forum, we have a responsibility to not spread false information that could get someone arrested (though I am sure most people wouldn't believe something they read on the internet).

Not disagreeing with you, and I believe Pretti was not a peaceful protester. However, he might have been legal in his concealed carry.

A lot of states now have and allow a "digital wallet." My state, Louisiana, has one and things like drivers license, proof of insurance. concealed carry permit, etc are on it and accepted as official.

We know Pretti had his phone, so if Minnesota has a digital wallet app, then he might have been legally carrying.

Several unsubstantiated reports indicate that the shooter "identified" as a woman.

Unfamiliar with this source but seems that there is confirmation

When you have a grand jury full of D’s that will never indict a D, I don’t care how great or bad the lawyer is, it’s not going to happen.

US news agencies are reporting the shooter is a transgender man (who wanted to be called a woman)..

A bit naive, in my opinion. There’s a lot going on here.
