Oh for crying out loud. The masked man that ran up to her car screaming at her wasn't slipping on the ice! Minneapolis salts their streets IN THE EXTREME. I saw no evidence that she was spinning her wheels. According to her ex-husband the woman just dropped her kid off at school. So these clowns were firing live rounds in a school zone? Definitely was a built up neighborhood. For what? A known felon? No. Just someone who was scared and panicked. A soccer mom who liked doing messy art with her kids and volunteering. Seems her real crime was being gay ... and don't think that isn't how this will play out.

Comparing her to that dingbat rioter shot climbing through a broken window of the Capitol is ridiculous! Just ridiculous. Shameful. That was a riot. As a policeman I'm not going to interview rioters to figure out if they are armed or not. Break down doors and I shoot you. Period! Then it's no longer a demonstration. Breaking and entering is a felony last time I looked. Felons in the act are subject to armed intervention. Assumption was the "demonstrators" meant to do physical harm. Which is exactly what they were chanting!! "Kill Pence." Another reason to fire away. This mom in Minneapolis just meant to get away. So let her get away. What's the big deal? Go to her house later and knock on the door. She's not going to rob a bank or break into the Capitol building in the meantime. Her rap sheet is a couple of parking fines. Hardly America's Most Wanted.

You need to expand your sources of information and have your eyes checked. The officer by her door wasn’t the shooter. She also wasn’t just some lesbian soccer mom. She was trained in ICE harassment and was deliberately blocking and endangering federal officers with her 4000 pound vehicle so they decided to arrest her before she hurt someone. She CHOSE to disobey a direct order to exit the vehicle and she didn’t want to be arrested. Fear of ICE was not in her mind. Instead, it was fear of arrest and consequences. Wake up!

This one has me in a pickle. I support ICE officers and the job that they are trying to do, and I genuinely abhor the left and their supporters, protesters, vermin, et al. I really WANT TO BE able to look at this and find ANY justification for the deadly force in this case, but based on what I’ve seen so far, I just can’t. Tempting to say FAFO, but I don’t think it shoulda been her life she forfeited. Not a lawman and no experience at all. Just my $.02.

I have watched this video. I think the President said it best when he stated it was a horrible thing to watch. The fact that she is dead is no surprise to me. But I also think that this officer was not acting like a trained professional when he first engaged in the situation.

The act of shooting is hard to criticize as things unfold quickly. But professionals entrusted with the right to use force have to act professionally to avoid the inevitable use of force if possible. In this case I can’t reconcile how her obvious panic got her killed by a trained professional is a good way for professional law enforcement to act. To accept her death I have to accept that standard operating procedure with these officers dictates that this officer stand in front of this vehicle that is in the process of trying to escape in this circumstance. A high stakes game of chicken with a woman in a minivan doing silly obstructionist stuff. The strategy requires someone to die or get injured. But a little forethought would allow a trained professional to know that identifying and apprehending this mother is easy because she is clearly identified and driving a mini van registered to her. So why precipitate the game of chicken? Why did she have to be arrested at that moment? There was no reason. They were more concerned with projecting their authority than thinking about a strategy to arrest a nonviolent offender.

Panic? She did not panic. She just didn’t want to be arrested and decided to drive past and through the officers that she had earlier blocked with her car.

It has been widely reported that she was radicalized, left the USA to Canada for a while (sound familiar?) because of Trump’s election and then came back. Then joined an anti-ICE organization where she received training on how to obstruct ICE. The day she died, she had been blocking ICE vehicles and agents with her vehicle. ICE tried to avoid her for a while but finally had to try to arrest her. She reacted by refusing orders to exit her vehicle , that she was using as a tool and weapon. Did you teach your children to refuse orders from LEOs? Sorry, but she was not a good citizen and was radicalized enough to BATTLE with ICE!

As for the J6 idiots, I have no sympathy for most of them. I didn’t write anything about them.

He might not be required to move but would it not be common sense to move away instead of shooting her? If the car was travel in enough speed to do serious damage and he was indeed in front of it I would assume that moving out of harms way would be a more prudent action and then take actions to stop the vehicle.

It seems like he was to keen on the trigger for his own good or are they really trained to shoot their citizens first instead of taking the suspect alive if it only requires simply steping to the side?

In the USA, you must obey orders from police. You are required to stop. You also cannot accelerate your vehicle towards an officer or they will respond with force. Without these understandings, we would end up with mayhem. This country has been a melting pot for over 200 years. This requires some strong stands from our law enforcement agencies or things can get out of control with all the different cultures trying to live together. It’s a different mindset here.

Even in the Midwest where I grew up, the schools and communities were made up of lots of different European nationalities, Native Americans, some blacks, Hispanics from Mexico and Central America and people of a wide variety of socioeconomic classes. In school, the Principal (Headmaster) ruled all these kids with an iron hand back then and it seemed to somewhat work. However, there were still fights. Bad fights.

Your European countries used to be homogeneous with countrymen of similar backgrounds, race, religion, etc… The USA is melting pot of lots of different cultures. The problems you are now experiencing in Europe are partly due to inexperience in this realm of new cultures in your society from excess immigration. Buckle up! You are in it now, from what we hear.

I would also suggest you watch the video in real time normal speed after you’ve seen it in slow motion and see with the officer in front of the vehicle. In real time, it happened very quickly.

Concerning the shooting of the late woman attempting to escape ICE officers, for whatever reason the officer stood in front of the late woman’s vehicle to impede her departure. Was she simply disregarding the LEOs’ commands to get out of her car or did she panic? We will never know. Regardless of why, her actions threatened the LEO’s safety and he shot to stop the threat.

As a civilian, if I am trying to stop a suspected criminal from leaving my property, heck even a person from leaving my house which they broke into, if they are no longer a threat to me, I would get out of their way.

In the Marines… “The Marine on duty has no friends”. The same is true of law enforcement officers (LEO). There are times when one has to stand their ground.

But, long ago as a Marine, when necessary I stood firm, allowing no one to pass without proper authority, in accordance with the 11th General Order. “To be especially watchful at night, and during the time for challenging, to challenge all persons on or near my post and to allow no one to pass without proper authority.” I’ve never been a LEO but certainly it cannot be much different.
