I’m not sure if your numbers are out of whack, but I pay 147 a monthfor mine in AB. I’m not sure how much data we have, but my wife teaches online classes daily and we haven’t had an issue. I live half way down a coulee and my reception without it sounds about the same as yours.

I looked into it after , there are different rates for marine and residential. The number I was quoting was marine from when we had it on the boat.

I represented an investment I made (for the company I led) in a Chinese company. I sat on the board of that company for a number of years and spent a fair bit of time in China. IMO the Chinese are extremely adept capitalists, and are allowed to be so as long as they don’t run afoul of the PRC. It’s a very interesting society and nothing like the brand of communism we saw in the USSR.

Exactly. People speak of China as if the people are all paupers. I've never seen so many luxury cars and stores. The people are allowed to operate small and medium-sized businesses and they are everywhere. The CCP has somewhat figured out how to give the people just enough economic freedom to keep them from revolting. It is tenuous but holding on and the people have no weapons to do anything anyway. Pedestrians versus tanks didn't work out too well in Tienanmen Square.
