New here from SoDak

We get it, so no words are necessary. What's your buffalo rifle/caliber?

I believe one of the first years of the safari express in 375 h&h. I picked it up unfired off of gunbroker last year. We are headed to parkwest in November to get some rifles built so may go 404j or a 416 caliber of sorts, but I do really like this rifle.

That's a good honest rifle and caliber. You seem a husky feller, so you'll shoot a .416/400gr/2400fps just as comfortably, if you go that route. Meanwhile, there's nothing wrong with what you've already got and hunted with.

Fall bird and deer camp is based out of Murdo my group. We hunt both public and private ground.

There is a fair bit more biodiversity on the prairie than many realize.

Buffalo rifle talk always pulls a thread in a hurry. Seems like every camp has somebody loyal to a .375, somebody preaching bigger, and somebody quietly making both look good with shot placement. The addiction part makes sense though, buffalo and eland are the kind of animals that make the usual deer-camp stories feel a little undersized.

Welcome from Stickney, in the EAST River Area you will have a good time on AH. Yea hunting Buffalo is what I tell friends that have never gone to Africa is to think about it like a Cocaine addition only cheaper and safer. I have 6 buffalo under my belt and a truck load of plains game. Just got back 2 weeks ago and took 3 Buffalo.
