New guy from South Dakota

Welcome!

Gruss Gott, John.

My Lovely Spousal Unit is from Hartford, with cousins in agribusiness living in Redfield. I keep trying to get her to retire to the Black Hills (4,000' = dry air), but so far, no luck.

One of my favorite things about living at elevation (4300') is that there are no flies or mosquitos. Along with the smell of the pine trees and lots of wildlife around.

Welcome and enjoy

Welcome to the family and the forum John, you are in the right place! Nothing like AH for information and getting people on their way to Africa.

Plan on getting back there end of May 2020 for 10 days with KMG. Really looking forward to that.

If you need any help we’re here for you.

Welcome to AH John.
Where here in SD did you move from? I'm in Aberdeen. I know of Grenz's from here but he is now in Groton and owns DQ.
Brother and nephew in Rapid and niece in Black Hawk.
Oh Africa, enjoy. I've done 11 hunts.

Originally from the Mound City, Eureka area. Lived in Pierre for 23 years. The Grenz's in Aberdeen area are relation. My land is in Campbell county and where we chase bucks and birds.
Going back to Africa next May which will be my 4th trip. Definitely a fun disease to have!

Hi John. I grew up in the Black Hills west of RC on Hwy 44 near Hisega. Are you near there?

Couple miles west from Hisega on 44 to Johnson Siding. Then up Norris Peak road about a mile.

Thank for the laughing post! You have a keen sense of humour. I am usually able to just ignore those geniuses but this time I could not get past it. chuckle, Brian

Hello, My wife and I hunted with Marius 2 years ago. He fit us into his schedule after a different outfitter "bailed" on us. He was always very good with communications and although we didn't end up meeting him personally, he called us multiple times during our hunt to make sure things were going well. We were very happy with him.

Reach out to the guys at Epic Outdoors.

They will steer you right for landowner tags and outfitters that have them.

I have held a membership with them for years and they are an invaluable resource.

Way better that asking random people on the internet...WAY better
