Unlike some Jeeps!l

When Jeep set up in New Zealand, back in the 90s, it had been so long since they had completed a military contract that the air cleaners on their straight six engines were facing forward. Quite a few engines got hydraulicked during water crossings and had to be replaced.

After a couple of years or so, they reoriented the air cleaner. It probably would have been quicker and cheaper to make snorkels and extended breathers standard fittings.

Didn't used to take to many photos of Land Rovers. They were normally just in the background of other subject matter. Circa 1960's.

This is the Land Rover I learned to drive in.
