I just bought this rifle.

It`s a Krieghoff Classic Big five and the caliber is 375 H&H Mag, Sorry it's not a flanged.
I know this should have been a 450/400 or something heavier, but I got a bargain on this rifle.
USD 3500
I'm gonna use this rifle on buffalo hunting and overall hunting.
I'm gonna change the scope and get one even better for this rifle. the scope on this rifle are a Meopta 1-4x22 Meostar 3000. I think the okular are a litle bit to massiv.

What do you guys think?

Nothing wrong with a .375 H & H,..... but Krieghoff will make you a barrel in .450/400 3" NE....

...and on egun you will find a Zeiss 1,5-4,5x18 Diavari A4...the real classic

;)

Wow, congrats sir, you did get a great deal!

You got quite a deal. I would dump the scope and if scoping it a Leica Magnus.

What a great deal! The K Gun is one of the most inherently accurate rifles on the market. In .375 guise, it begs to be scoped, and once you have a well regulated load, you will have a 200 meter plus capable rifle in one of the world’s best calibers. I have used my Blaser S2 in .375 on everything from Cape buffalo to duiker, and at ranges from thirty-meters to almost two-hundred. I have a similar Meopta on a 9.3, and it has been a durable scope. The Leica Magnus would be something very special indeed. Congrats on a great purchase.

I hope it shoots well and you enjoy your new rifle.
Congrats on the bargain!

From your name and location it is obvious the English is not your first language. Your opening statement was that "I just bought this rifle." That sir is either misleading or improper English. Ask anyone on this site and I'm sure they will agree with me. Without a doubt you STOLE it.:LOL: Congratulations, rest assured we all would have done the same.

Nice rifle and great buy! If you find another K-gun for 3500 let me know I would buy it in a second.

Enjoy your new double!

I think you got the deal of the day for sure!
What Dave said! +++++

That sir is one lucky purchase. Put a good bullet in the right spot and the 375 H&H will take anything on the planet.

Congrats on the purchase, nice looking rifle!

Excellent buy on a beautiful rifle! I wouldn’t balk at a K-gun in 375 flanged or not at 3500 bones!

I'm jealous!

Congrats on the gun!

I saw @HWL mention that Krieghoff can make bigger caliber barrels. So you can get upgraded caliber barrels for doubles? So you could have a 375 and a 470 or something like that? I'm guessing this only applies to take-down rifles?

Thats correct, I spoke with Krieghoff salesmanager this morning, and I can get a barrel in a heavier caliber for 5700 euro, They have the rifle for 3 months, and I get a new barrel and new forarmwood.
I think I do so, then I have 2 barrels for the double..

Very cool! That would be pretty awesome - 375 for PG, 500 or something like that for your DG. You'll have to get a nice case with space for both barrels!

Wow, the new barrels will cost more than what you got the complete gun for. Now I believe that you did not get a great deal, but a fantastic once in a lifetime deal. (y)(y) LOL!!!!!

As the cost of the new barrel, costs more then what you paid for the gun, I am will to buy that one from you for what you paid for it, I will even pay for the transfer. That way you can get the larger gun and flanged and not be burdened with the H&H Mag.

Hey Steve, This is Steve Washington we met at KMG last year. I am interested in your Winchester. Would love to speak with you about it. I work third shift and I cannot take a phone with me to work. Let me know a good time to call during one of your mornings. My phone is 239 565-8988. Live in Florida so I have to account for the time difference.
Look forward to hearing from you.

Good day, Slider.

Do you by any chance have any 500NE brass left that you are willing to part ways with?

Best regards,
Boela Bekker.
