I would love to visit Africa and do a hunt one day . Also I am also a lover of oddities . I joined here to do some research about hunting . Also in hopes to find a link to buy some monkey skulls or anything interesting ( taxidemy ) with cities permits of course I am looking to buy some cool stuff for my little shop in Canada.

:S Welcome:

Welcome!

What kind of shop do you have?
What have you hunted in Canada so far?

Welcome to AH. This is the place to learn about hunting Africa. The Safari Planning Guide section is a great resource, as is the Search button. If those don’t answer your questions, feel free to ask. You’ll find a lot of people, with real experience on here, more than willing to help.

Oddities store. I do my own really bad taxidemy and sell skulls and insects . I have my hunting license and trapping. However I have not even gone out to hunt yet I will be honest . I am fairly new to this.

Welcome to AH! There's a great bunch of helpful people here!

Congrats on your trapping licence! I have noticed you live in ON.
Did you had to buy a trapping line to get your ON trapping licence?

How difficult was it to get a trapping licence? Any practical exams required? Thanks in advance for the info.

Welcome fellow Canadian. You found the best site for all things hunting, Africa especially.

It's by the books and there's a lot to learn in 3 day class and you will have a multiple choice exam and hands on exam. But it is pretty easy. They have certified isntructors listed on fur traders.com you just find the one closest to your area. My instructor was awesome taught us all kinds of things . We did it all in his backyard and it was a small group of us. Definitely worth it to take the course .

Also the trapline thing no most people have to be on a waitlist unless you get trapline passed down to you . But you can work as trapline helper and do nuisance work as well

Good Afternoon,
How firm are you on your Dakota 416? I am highly interested but looking at a few different guns currently.

Best,
BJ

What is the minimum you would take.

I have a Chapuis 450-400 double that looks brand new and shoots well, never been hunted from what I can tell. I am willing to part with it as I have a 375 H&H Sodia on it's way from Dorleac & Dorleac. I am looking for $9,250 for it and if you are interested, I am happy to send you some pictures. Regards,
Steve
