I am a full time Taxidermist from Missouri I have been doing taxidermy for over 25 years. I used to be the Regional Director for the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation covering Missouri and Kansas. I have been hunting as long as I can remember. I hunt whitetail deer, wild Turkey, squirrel waterfowl , rabbits and varmints here in Missouri I have also hunted elk in Colorado and Wyoming, antelope in Wyoming and black bear in Manitoba Canada. I have never been to Africa but bought a African hunt for four a couple of weeks ago at a NRA banquet so I am excited to learn all I can about hunting South Africa.

Welcome to AH Mohuntenfool. This is the place for African hunting info. Where in Africa are you going to be hunting?

Welcome to AH sir

Welcome aboard!

Will be a fun trip and you will return to hunt again. Take you a good neck roll for flights and ear plugs to help sleep. Long ride. I would also take extra change of clothes or hunting clothes in case they loose luggage for a few days. Good luck and have fun.

Welcome to AH Mohuntenfool!

Welcome aboard Mohuntenfool. What Outfitter will you be hunting with? In what country? What animals were in the package you bought? Will you be taking your own rifles or using theirs? BELIEVE ME, you are in for a treat. Hunting Africa is like nothing you've ever done before.

Jerome, do you think my last post in rough camping must maybe shift as an article?

Good afternoon,

I'm trying to get in contact with Mr Butch Searcy. I have the opportunity to buy one of his rifles chambered in 577 nitro Express however the seller does not have any of the paperwork with the information about what ammunition or bullet weight was used to regulate it. I know he is not making firearms anymore but I wanted to reach out after seeing one of your post about him.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl
