Sorry to have been a lurker for so long. I am now going to post and share some of my experiences.
This forum was wonderful for helping me decide on loads for my .458 Lott years back and continues to be very entertaining.
I return to ZA next July for another elephant while the getting is good. Bringing a friend who will be huntingbuff for first time. Should be great fun.
Many thanks to the members and the forum hosts!
M

............

Not that you have to apologize, but you should get on that report writing. From your profile it appears there is a fair amount of arrears in reporting. :)

Welcome to the posting side.

I disagree. I feel a full apology with a 3 page essay is required on why it took him so long to join! :D
Welcome sir! We look forward to hearing about your past experiences. Please post some photos for us to enjoy as well.

Take Care,
Marius Goosen

Buy - a donkey.... 'ços horses are too expensive??
WELCOME to the site and best of luck with your elephant and buff hunt in Africa.

Welcome to AH buy-a-donkey! Nice to have you on the posting side! :S Welcome:

Ha! I appreciate making up for lack of previous posts. KMG is correct. I owe stories and experiences. I am heading back again this July with a good buddy for his first and my 6th trip. Elephant tags in Limpopo, especially outside of Phalaborwa near the Elephant River have been a hot topic. I feel that area will close hunting with all the pressure from the antis. Until then, it's got numerous elephants and some of the meanest and biggest buffalo I have ever seen.
I'm a southpaw (lefty) and shoot a Weatherby Mark IV custom 458 Lott. It's been ultra reliable and has been the envy of a few left handed PHs. Kind of looking forward to getting into a controlled round feed argument...! Just kidding.
Many thanks for the kind welcome from you guys.

For those who don't know, Baie Dankie means "thanks a lot". I speak a little dutch, so I was eager to learn a little Afrikaans. Got decent, but after a few beers, "Buy-A-Donkey" is just a ton of fun to say... And polite too!

See you are from Denmark - see quite a few Danes where I stalk in Scotland - great hunters.
The Harkilia stuff works well in Africa - I have a bit for use here in UK.
I am again looking for 600 Nitro dies preferably RCBS 1 inch. The set I purchased previously are 1 1/2 inch and do not fit my die. Another member has graciously taken them off my hands. If anyone happens to have a set of 600 Nitro Dies that will fit my Rockchucker Supreme RCBS press, please shoot me a message and thanks in advance for any assistance you may have to offer!
I have not posted any items for sale on this forum and will not every put anything for sale. My account was hacked and I've worked with the admin to get things shut down.
