https://www.timeslive.co.za/news/so...lephant-tramples-veteran-wildlife-tour-guide/ It sounds like he had a pistol and tried to scare an angry cow (but didn't shoot it.) He also got off the car at sundown for some reason? Maybe a .500 S&W (w/ that massive brake) would've done the trick one way or the other, but I'd rather have a stopping rifle (as many do!) RIP Thanks for sharing. I'm not sure we hear of such things in Parks very often, but the Klaserie reserve allows hunting, is unfenced and adjacent to Kruger, so apparently the ele has felt threatened before...They'll be watching that cow like a hawk now! It's almost always the cows (with calves) you have to watch out for, but I've seen a fair number of charges by young bulls (in cow/calf herds).

Very tragic and sad. RIP.

Condolences to the family.

ugh. sad to hear. Will be praying for his family and friends.
Those elephants are something else!

Sad but happens sadly ......DG is named for a reason....m

Absolutely horrible. May God/Allah grant him an eternity in Heaven/Jannat.

My condolences....this past 18 months seems to have had a higher than usual number of tragedies.

I will be looking for a set of these when my .505 is done... sadly not cashed up right now for these. :(
Need anything in trade?
Cheers,

what kind of velocity does the 140 grains list, curious how they would fit in with my current 130 gr, supply of 270s. maybe a pic of the box data listing vel. and drop. Oh and complements on that ammo belt, nice.
