Yes but Ukraine really did not had much if any fleet to begin with and still they have managed to basically defeat the whole of the russian black sea fleet/force the russians to stay in port/move their ships further away from Ukraine.
We can call it asymmetric warfare.
For large conventional navy power in coastal waters that is really inconvenient to put it mildly.

Now put any warship of any navy in black sea, against Ukraine, or Russia - which ever.
And watch what happens next.

Entire paradigm of coastal warfare changed with appearance of drones.
But not only at sea.
The tanks and armored vehicles on both sides suffered the same.

The new paradigm proven on actual exercises:

Dont think the Russians did not develop similar capabilities. On modern battlefield, they are toe to toe with ukranians and inching forward. They are learning hard way

Sadly the cease fire agreement seems to have failed allready, Iran apparently closed the strait due to Israels continuing attacks in Lebanon.

Of course, good old Bibi had to fuck up the cease fire. It did not suit his agenda..Jeez.. :Banghead:

2 hours ago (on Fox news..):

Iran reportedly halted oil tanker traffic in the Strait of Hormuz in response to Israeli attacks on Lebanon, as Iranian officials accuse the U.S. of violating ceasefire clauses before the start of negotiations.
Only limited Iranian and Chinese tankers have been allowed to pass through the key waterway, according to a report from Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) state-affiliated media.
The standstill comes after Iranian parliamentary speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf released a scathing statement on social media Wednesday accusing the U.S. of violating three key clauses of the 10-point proposal.
Among the alleged violations, Ghalibaf claimed the U.S. failed to comply with a ceasefire in Lebanon, which Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday night said was part of the deal.
Vice President JD Vance and White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said during separate media appearances Wednesday that a ceasefire in Lebanon was not included in the agreement.

What a stupid remark..you think its positive that the ceasefire break..??

I think it should have been expected to break..

If you know anything about the Persians, if anything, they are predictable.. just like Trump…

No different than Trump always makes over the top demands, backs off, ramps back up, backs off, etc etc… and just like you can count on Trump being brash with his words and behavior…

You can count on Persians to negotiate a deal, and then immediately start to test the boundaries of the deal and push for additional concessions after a deal is reached.. it’s quite literally cultural for them and has been going on since the dawn of time..

How many times have they agreed to nuclear concessions since 2003 and then after signing the agreement almost immediately broke it or lied and hid their continued efforts?

The answer is 4… which is exactly how many times they have come to the table to negotiate over nukes in the last 23 years..

Which means they always break their agreements..

What’s really surprising (well not that surprising) is Iran using the similar tactics that the Ukrainians used against Russia in regards to attacking radar installations. Really surprised that the US and others haven’t woken up to that fact until to late.

Seems like it wasn’t part of the deal and the Iranians used it as an excuse…. This hand wringing is rather tiresome.

Iran will find out that getting pummeled before the cease fire was not nearly as painful as being pummeled after the ceasefire will be. The lights will go out. And when the lights come back on. A lot will have changed.

The U.S. Marines will own Kharg Island.

You will never be smart enough to realize that Iran will never honor any agreement. Cease fire or not.
But by all means......whine away if it makes your tiny mind feel better.

There are a handful of Ten Point Cease Fire agreements floating around the internet. All supposedly the correct version. All from different sources or unnamed sources. All sources I have seen are Iranian linked. Iran is in turmoil with competing agendas and competing potential leaders. Some are not in the know but need to be relevant so they “report” things.

What I am confident of is none of us on AH have a clue what the actual agreement says, and may not know for a long time or ever.

I do find it interesting that you blame Israel for the broken ceasefire then the last sentence you cite have Vance and Leavitt saying Lebanon was not included in the agreement. Perhaps you believe the Iranians. Fine. Personally I have no faith in anything Iran says and pretty good trust in what Vance and Leavitt say.

I think anyone who thought Israel would ignore its interests of pursuing operations in Lebanon against Hezbollah would have to be a fool.

I also think that anyone who blames Israel for the ceasefire failing is a fool. Lebanon is not Iran and Iran has no legitimate justification for ending the ceasefire over operations in Lebanon. Obviously they are a proxy but one would have to be especially foolish to pursue a ceasefire at any cost.

How do you expect a ceasefire to hold as long as Israel, with its own agenda in Lebanon, behave as a loose cannon on deck..?

About as long as I would expect it to hold with Iran, with its own agenda in Lebanon, behaving as a loose cannon via their proxies.

But I’m also not interested in a ceasefire at all costs.

On the other hand, the ceasefire was likely not expected to succeed and will give the administration an excuse to continue military operations against them. Keep in mind that Iran broke the ceasefire, whatever their justification was. Now Trump can say he tried and just keep bombing them.

Say the following: “I hate Israel”. And by Israel I mean the Jews. Get it off your chest. May make you feel better. Honesty does a body good.

A cease fire is not a deal. The Iranians are trying to see if the Trump administration will fall for the same simpleton tactics that has worked on multiple administrations for decades. It worked for North Korea also.

Naïve American politicians , thinking everyone has good intentions deep down. If only we can make them like us.
