G’day All,

I’m just learning to navigate this site and am enjoying the wealth of experience here.

I love kudu! I’ve spent a tiny amount of time hunting them in South Africa’s Eastern Cape and in Botswana’s Kalahari.

It’ll be some time before I’m back in Africa, but I’m always dreaming and learning as much as I can.

In the meantime, I enjoy hunting our buffalo and photographing them at every opportunity.

Welcome to AH BenKK. There are lots of Aussies here so you should feel right at home. Fortunately for you, there is plenty of good practice and hunting available in Australia. What kind and caliber rifles do you own? Do you reload? Do you have any pictures and or stories of previous hunts that you are willing to share? My son and I will be sharing a campfire and swapping tales with an Aussie (Timbo and his daughter Emily) in July. Glad to have you aboard, looking forward to your future postings.

It does seem like a good wet so far, just really steady, daily storms. The buffalo are getting much harder to find.

Yep, I reload, for sure. My main buffalo rifle is a Mauser .300H&H for everyday use in open country; and a Sako .500 Jeffery for back-up when hunting thick stuff.
