ZAMBIA: Hunt With Andrew Baldry At Royal Kafue Safaris

I'll toss up an update since some folks have shown interest. Joyce had round five of R-CHOP (minus the Vincristin) yesterday. She again tolerated it like the Champ she is. We will see how the nausea and fatigue shakes out this week. Only one round to go scheduled for March 18th. A week or so after that she will have a repeat PET Scan hopefully confirming the total absence of Lymphoma.

Good news.
I would expect nothing less from Joyce.

Looking forward to the "negative" test result at the end of March.

Me too!!

Here's the look of a fighter. ROUND 6 is finished. She will have a repeat PET Scan on Tuesday March 25th and if Lymphoma free the IV port will come out on Wednesday. Repeat PET Scans every six months for two year then every year till five years out. It's considered a cure if clear at five years. Either way, neither of us plan on looking in the rearview. BAM DONE!!

Wishing your wife the best. This year is year five since my last cancer surgery, as long as no more markers show up in my blood tests I should be good to go, but will continue the tests for a life time. I am hoping and praying for the same results for Joyce. I know how tough it has been for the both of you, but I know you guys will be fine. Maybe this fall when I come up there to hunt we can get together, that would be great. Again my best to both of you.

What are you hunting and where?

We are hunting deer and ducks on Afognak. Going to spend a couple of days in Anchorage and Kodiak showing my son around. This will be his first trip to Alaska, and I won't him to see some things. We are planning on mid Nov. but things aren't final yet.

PET Scan was Lymphoma free. Her IV Port was removed today. The last round of Chemo really kicked her butt. Today though she felt better than yesterday and that has always proved the start of recovery form the poisons given. The Neurosurgeon gave her the green light to return to working out once she feels well enough so hopefully come May we will both be back to Crossfitting. Thanks for all the kind thoughts and prayers.

Cheers
Jim & Joyce

Hello,

I saw your post selling left hand rifles. Do you have any additional pics of the .416 Rem mag?
