Would you like a Cigar?

Will do, thanks (y)

Here is to Uncle Sauce & Uncle Mort for taking us along two wonderful safaris. Smoking in your honor a new Liga Privada H44 cigar. Thank you gents!!!
Glad you enjoyed @PARA45! Mort definitely had a great adventure!
I'm trying to figure out when & where I'll go again. Thinking '23 maybe...Been some outstanding deals listed on AH :A Whistle: (like that lion hunt you listed). I need to go back to get some payback on those pigs!!
Isn't your trip coming up in '22? Can't remember who your booked with? Let's see if you can get close to Mort's cigar consumption :ROFLMAO:

How is it? Pretty good? I will see if my local shop has any next time I stop by.
This was another great Liga cigar, very smooth all the way down to the nub. This cigar had hints of nuts, cocoa & coffee and it was a med body vs the full body Ligas I am used to. Enjoyed it!!

Our peach trees are loaded this year, and the peaches are amazing
Smoked a Nicaraguan no label seconds

The pleasure was all mine. And in your honor of my honor, I am smoking my breakfast Camacho Corojo! Wonderful having a bonafide reason to enjoy this wonderful cigar.

Well I tried one of the Zimbabwe cigars last night and it was a good mellow almost creamy smoke. I would buy some more if I could find them. I was surprised at the quality and flavor, but I had no idea what to expect.

What do you do after spending 8 hours in a hospital emergency room, and the doctor brings up the word "Cancer" in medical discussions?
Come home at midnight, drink some beer, and smoke a Cigar named "The big payback". Lol.....View attachment 408686View attachment 408687

Prayers are with you Brent that this is nothing serious. But, should you get news you do not wish, I pray for the doctor’s wisdom to get things right and put you on a path to full recovery. Thinking about you brother!

Thank you, brother. Been a rough weekend trying to enjoy some cigars, or even eat food. Throat & glandular issues feels like a handful of razor blades stuck in my throat when swallowing.

Hope things get better Brent! x2 with Arthur above - thoughts & prayers!

Well thanks to Brother Mort's post above he reminded me that I had a Camacho Corojo hiding out in my humidor that I picked up from the local B&M a couple months ago upon someones suggestion on here...Mort, Para or Brent?? Hot as hell here (at least in Idaho) so nothing to do but sit outside and drink beer.

The previous Camacho cigars I've had were super bold but this was something else entirely. I'd rate medium, perfect burn and easy draw - overall a great cigar to my palate. It did have pepper on the dominant side with maybe earthy tones but smoothed out the pepper about halfway through. I'm thinking maybe aging it knocked some of that pepper bomb down a bit.

If Mort likes it, it must be good! Not sure if I could handle it in the AM like Mort but definitely box worthy. I'll need to get a couple more under my belt to see how they do.

Sorry to hear that Brent. Is the diagnosis definite?
Fortunately, it is not a definitive diagnosis. Just something that was brought up in conversation by the ER doctor. He mentioned that cancer is sometimes responsible for the symptoms I have, including the possibility of a necrotic lymph node. They want me to go see a specialist, but Im going to visit my primary care doctor, and talk with him. He's a logical straight shooter, and I trust his advice. Been seeing him for many years.

But....if things look grim, I'm going to go out and buy 200 cigars, and see if i can best Uncle Morty's 21 day cigar record. Lol. Mort is a cigar hero.

Stay cool up there, Uncle. I saw that the Northwest was supposed to get pretty hot. Fortunately, the temps have dropped in Tucson, compared to the inferno we had the last couple weeks.

I’m no doctor, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express!

I have not been in your shoes Brent, but have had too many friends to count who have. I have always thought to myself if I were to potentially be diagnosed with cancer, the first thing I would do is buy some of the best cigars I could and smoke them, just in case. Not a fatalistic thing at all, just want to enjoy that thing that brings me the most peace and inner tranquility. Now, not sure about the 200 cigars you are talking about. The way my mind works, I would see that as a personal challenge and try to best it.

Best to you my friend in the coming days, and please keep us posted on any updates! As far as being a cigar hero, you singularly have brought more enjoyment to this pastime for me than any other person I can think of. Truth!

Well, for the first time since I can remember, I had a bad Camacho. o_O It was a Barrel Aged American, and I couldn't keep it lid at all. I ended throwing away, with only about 1/3 smoked. I tried poking it, and nothing. I could barely get any smoke, and flavor was all over the place from being lid so many times. On the first pictures shows the ash, and it was hard as a rock, I then got rid of it and there was a big hole. I was so upset. LOL.

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.
