Would you like a Cigar?

I havent checked in to this thread in a minute. I actually had some spare time today after liberating another pistol from a gun store here in Denison. I stopped at the Cigar Lounge on Main. They had my daily smoke so I figured id actually enjoy smoking in a lounge for once. Very nice and cozy

Give an H. Upmann Petit Corona with Cameroon wrapper a try. One of my go too's. Good flavor and not too large.
Interesting note... it was JFK's favorite cigar. When JFK knew that he was going to place the embargo on Cuba, he had a couple of members of his staff buy all the ones they could find in Havana. A good humidor here in the States should have the legal version.
If you're just getting into it like I am, then a short smoke is ideal.

Mild smokes are:
Artuo Fuente Chateau (Connecticut wrapper)
Montessino (Connecticut wrapper)
Any of the Arturo Fuente Especiales are also mild.
Davidoff Petita Panatella is probably next up, with a Habano wrapper you start to enjoy the Cuban tastes
H Upmaan, Romeo Juliet No2, Hoya De Monterra are also mild Cubans if you can them

The Macanudos are very mild cigars, and that is what I started back in 2000 when I first started smoking cigars.

Try the Fuente Hemingway Short Stories!
Very short, but kinda potent. Pretty good balance.

CI had a sale and I restocked on Mark Twain memoirs.. their checkout popup convinced me to try out Cohiba Red Dots

I smoked one last night, started a bit harsh but smoothed out.. not too bad.

In regards to the memoirs, I got the wrong size and they sent some 6x60 monsters. Ill be outside for a few hours smoking those

do Cuban cigars find there way ito USA quite easily?

I've been reading alot of reviews and bumped into a page where sportsman and musicians were all naming their favourite brands and they are all Cuban

Thank you for the advice. I'll certainly give them a try. I am tho, kinda new into this and the mild to medium are ok.

Like I mentioned above, the Macanudo are very mild cigars, and are perfect for someone new at smoking cigars. Some of the above suggestions are great smokes but would be too much for someone new. I would suggest going to a cigar shop and asking for suggestions on mild cigars. Stay away from Maduros, Triple Maduros, Cubans and Nicaraguan cigars, they are mostly full body. Dominican cigars are by far the mildest to med body cigars.

A good friend, soon to open a cigar lounge in the Texas Hill Country, is currently representing a new cigar line and is considering a booth at either DSC or SCI. Do you think there would be enough interest to support a booth?

Truthfully, I’m not sure since I’ve never been to one of those events. Hopefully someone who has been can shine a bit of light on this.

Picked this up to try out. Glad I did. This one made the cut to go on safari with me in May.
The Black market series never disappointed me.

This topic reminds me that I need to smoke a cigar. It has been a couple of months since my last one. I think my humidor thinks I left her ;) :ROFLMAO:. Yes, it's a she.

Shoot, I barely go a day without smoking a cigar or two :ROFLMAO:

An excellent AH member right here! I had a fantastic transaction with Hornedfrogbbq (I was the seller). His communication was first rate, payment was extremely fast, and I would have absolutely no reservations at all dealing with him again. Thank you, F!
Here we are, the last day of the show in Denver, it's been a good show but expecting a quiet day today. I will be back for-sure to do this show next year and maybe also do the one in Sacramento California.

On Monday I will be hitting the road driving from Denver and eventually make it down to Atlanta for the flight home.

its going to be a good year!

Hi Rem280, Saw your post on getting selected for Idaho Elk. Do you have a zone(s) selected? I live in N Idaho, might be able to offer some ideas.

Cheers,

Craig
