What was your first African Game?

Landed in Windhoek, PH drove me to Eintracht farm, checked sight in of rifle after a few bottles of water. Then we went hunting.

Did a nine km or so long stalk through numerous oryx and red Hartebeest and took this bull at around 100 yards with my CZ 375 H&H.

Couldn't believe I had a beautiful African animal down just a few short hours after landing.

My PH Pieter Delport kept the rest of the hunt just as exciting. Just an awesome trip I couldn't have envisioned in my dreams.

Mine was also a Gemsbok. Taken in the Omaruru area of Namibia with Immenhoff Safaris. 2009 I believe.

Well it depends. What was my first African animal or what was my first animal in Africa? My first African animal was a gemsbok I took 20 years ago in East Texas. My first animal in Africa was a lion in the Kalahari.

My first animal was a kudu in the Eastern Cape in 2012. An animal that I’d read a story about in Outdoor Life magazine when I was 12 or so. Made the whole trip worth it, even though I shot other animals as well.

The first afternoon on my first safari in the Eastern Cape a couple of hours after arriving at camp. My number one animal on my wish list was heading for the salt. Doesn't get much better than that.

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
