To say my bride is not too crazy about European mounts would be the understatement of the new year. So I thought I’d try something a bit different and she really likes this. I would never do them all as I do like the classic look of the white skulls. But it was kinda fun to experiment some.

I’m looking for some honest critique here. There is something I’m missing but I’m not sure what it is. Add bottom jaw?

Thoughts?

She likes it huh? Do you sleep with one eye open? Hahaha
Creepy Zombie Deer! But yes bottom jaw, maybe some canine teeth? ;)

Yeah, I was surprised she liked it too. :unsure:
It’s different. Also a challenge to add eyes and try to keep it from looking like some freak lizard. :giggle:
Im not so sure I even like it so much. But hey, sitting home with Covid right now and too bored not to do something.

Lots of ways to do at home hydro dips out there on Youtube. Also "bronzing" techniques. Personally not a fan of the eyes but I do like the rustic finish.

The eyes really bother me, makes the buck look like some demon from hell. But the bronzed effect I very much like. I’ll have a few skulls done that way.

holy hell!!!! no thanx !!!

think your wife is lying:LOL::LOL:

Like the rustic finish, like others they eyes just look outta place. I would skip the eyes. As you mentioned the classic white is a better look.

On the flip side if you were going to the deer from hell look a set of eyes that light up red in the middle of the flat black zombie eyes would push it over the top.

:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: Perfect!

I finally asked her what it is about the skulls that she’s so “grossed out” about. She said it’s the eye sockets, so for her anything is better. I told her she can cuddle with this one all she wants then cuz it’s not happening with any others. At least not with eyes. :ROFLMAO:

It reminds me of something, :unsure:

Oh yeah! :D

Seriously, the bronze work does look nice.
Maybe we can get our own “B” movie going.

The good thing about it is that there is nothing permanent about it. It’s just paint and a brush with a couple of ping pong balls stuck in there. So eyes are easily removed and the areas touched up.
Or maybe just paint it all white. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

An excellent AH member right here! I had a fantastic transaction with Hornedfrogbbq (I was the seller). His communication was first rate, payment was extremely fast, and I would have absolutely no reservations at all dealing with him again. Thank you, F!
Here we are, the last day of the show in Denver, it's been a good show but expecting a quiet day today. I will be back for-sure to do this show next year and maybe also do the one in Sacramento California.

On Monday I will be hitting the road driving from Denver and eventually make it down to Atlanta for the flight home.

its going to be a good year!

Hi Rem280, Saw your post on getting selected for Idaho Elk. Do you have a zone(s) selected? I live in N Idaho, might be able to offer some ideas.

Cheers,

Craig
