As a matter of fact I have Great respect for Ronald Reagan..
Only because he was a better public speaker than Trump.

If the exact things Reagan said came out of Trump's mouth, the left would hate him just the same.

Cool part of the story, the families of the three Ohio National Guard airmen who died, got to ride from Dover AFB back to Ohio on a KC-135.

whats funny is much of what Trump say is parroting Reagan..

Reagans 1980 campaign slogan was... "Make America Great Again".. and much of Reagans platform that he ran on in 1980 is identical to what Trump ran on...

Reagans first term was all about regulatory rollbacks..

Trumps first term was very focused on regulatory rollbacks...

Both Reagan and Trump spoke at length about "America First" priorities..

Both Reagan and Trump are major critics of "big government"..

Both Reagan and Trump made immigration a major priority..

Reagan spoke to America needing to resume its place as the "shining city on a hill".. trump has been quoted many times speaking about the importance of America becoming respected again (same theme)..

Reagan hated entrenched bureaucrats and political elites... Trump also hates entrenched bureaucrats and political elites (the swamp)..

Trump and his advisors clearly attempt to echo Reagan every opportunity they are given...

Reagan was simply "the great communicator".. and Trump is a "mean tweeter"...

Anyone that says they have high respect for Reagan policy but at the same time hates Trump policy.. clearly doesnt know anything about Reagan or Trump...

Liking them as people is another matter all together.. Trump externally isnt very likeable at all.. although to a man, every single person I have known that has worked close to him and Melania will tell you that they are very friendly, kind, caring people that go out of their way to take care of their staff, etc.... While Reagan was "the great communicator"...

The problem is people often cant get past their emotions.. Trump isnt likeable.. therefore he is wrong..

Which frankly is stupid... he doesnt have to be likeable or hated to be right or wrong.. the two are mutually independent..

I personally dont like the guy much at all...

But I can recognize when he does things that I think will positively impact the country (like shutting down the border, pushing for deregulation, kicking Irans ass, etc)... and when he does things that I think might have negative impact (bullying allies, etc)... I dont have to like him to make common sense decisions based on facts..

It appears a number of members here have emotions far too strong to do that however.. emotion is far more important than fact for them it seems..

Thanks for posting that. That father is clearly an articulate and intelligent guy.. and he made some great points in his interview..

And the Iran attack subject :

I am in the camp that believes Iran needed to be defanged sooner than later. I don’t care if they had nukes within a week or a year I’d rather do it before It was too late. Prior administrations worried more about their reelections than doing the right thing.

Now, with that said. Has anyone considered that when weighing all the options and building the pros and cons columns?

In the “pro” column of Trump‘s mind, he had to recognize that this Iranian expedition needed to happen and it would certainly impact the 2026 mid term elections.

Did Trump calculate that if the Republicans take a beating in the midterms and in 2028 he has an external excuse that it couldn’t have been his policies, or him it was the Iranian expedition?
l'm in the camp that Trump did what he felt was necessary.....regardless of the political fallout. My "Pollyanna" side likes to believe there are still a few politicians that believe in America and are willing to do what has to be done. Personally, eliminate ever IRGC cockroach that scurries about.

"Which frankly is stupid... he doesnt have to be likeable or hated to be right or wrong.. the two are mutually independent.." Leavenworth, KS JR ROTC program, oldest in the nation.....I remember our Sergeant Major taught us "as a leader you didn't need to be liked, just respected"...that always stuck with me.

Agreed, and people often forget Reagan gave 6mil illegals amnesty and look how that worked out…..

Hello,

Am I reading your post correctly to say that the Tsavo rifle will be coming out with a composite stock later this year? I ask because I had been looking very hard for a Tsavo, but if there is going to be a composite stock model I will wait for that.

Thank you for your time,

Andrew

Saw your post. Nice. Denver too. Genesee area (just off 70) if ever up this way. Alternatively, do you have a membership at GGC? Whatever, you'll have a wonderful time in Africa. Enjoy.
