Until Jackwagon #2 (the Basij militia) is eliminated on the ground by people with rifles, eliminating an entire lineup of Jackwagon #1's is going to have little effect in changing the situation in favor of the Iranian people.

So far, I've seen nothing that leads me to believe this is anything more than a very expensive dog and pony show that is NOT going to change the regime in Iran in any meaningful way.

Should Israel mount a ground invasion? I think we all know how that would go over in the Arab World.

Should the U.S. and it's allies put boots on the ground? There is not much evidence that the average American would tolerate that.

Should the surrounding Arab States mount up and do the job? Without the U.S. leading the charge, the chances of that happening are near zero.

The only way forward is for armed Iranians to do the job, but they have nothing to fight with.

There are some rumblings about using the Kurdish areas to form armed groups of Iranians, but that's not likely to make the Kurds themselves happy.

Overthrowing a Government by armed rebellion is a nasty, bloody business, but that really is inevitable at this stage.

For now, I'll just sip my morning coffee and see what Strategic and Tactical plan the leadership whips out.

Sounds like a gauntlet of jackwagons. But I'm like you. I have no idea how this is going to go before ending with a huge disappointment.

in the US oil is up $6 a barrel and on average gas is up $0.11 a gallon (about 4%) since the weekend...

the question I have for Europe is whether or not gas prices will fall 50% once Qatar LNG opens back up and the Straights of Hormuz become navigable again..

Is this fear increases? Or actual supply-demand increases?

A bit of both I presume...I think it will adjust to normal when Qatar LNG is back.. The energy market is very nervous now..

It’s more than obvious that my hunting trip to South Africa this March won’t be happening.
I was supposed to leave on March 6, but quite obviously, because of Donald and other impotent fools like him, I’ll just have to stay home.
Once again, thanks, Donald and company.

Guess Kuwait did not get the Friend or Foe signals right.

I'm betting those were our own air defense systems. I might be wrong though. Definitely not Chinese or Russian like Venezuela or Iran's own.

To me, of a non-military background, this makes sense. I would enjoy hearing what our other career military folks think. And that's not to take anything away from what happened this weekend - I think I was long overdue, and I applaud the President for being decisive. But what does the future look like for the Iranian people?

Turkish airlines, Lufthansa et al fly to RSA. You still can leave unless you really want to travel through Dubai or Doha. As flights are cancelled you should get a full refund. One has to improvise in life instead of crying “Woe me.”

I support the Kurd army in northern Iran and surrounding regions to be boots on the ground for their own independence, however I hope trump doesn’t betray them again
Iranian people and the Kurds should be able to scrape together enough people to eliminate the radical Islamic terror regime

I heard it was a Patriot system and they were in an active dog fight with planes and drones in the air

I think its highly doubtful there was an active dog fight going on (I know a couple of news agencies have reported this)..

The F15E strike eagle isnt the air superiority variant of the Eagle.. its primary purpose is long range precision air to ground and close air support.. and.. they were over Kuwait, very close to their base...

Best guess is there were indeed Iranian drones in the air.. and the Kuwaitis (not exactly known for their competence or professionalism as soldiers) engaged mistakenly as the F15E's were either departing on a mission, or returning home from one...

Its hard to tell from the videos Ive seen, but it doesnt appear that the F15's had any munitions mounted on the pylons.. which would tell me they were most likely returning home after dropping their load in Iran..

Wonder if they will end up more pissed off with Iran or usa/Israel.....

That’s such a bullshit article! Opening pictures caption “Cities in the Gulf states, like Abu Dhabi pictured here, were not built to withstand attacks from drones and ballistic missiles”
For five fecken minutes what bloody city is?
Even Israel which has a very good defence system still gets incoming. Tawt click bate journalism at its worsto_O

I keep hearing the democrats saying that Iran is not an imminent threat to the USA, I wish someone would start pointing out all of the 200+ Marines killed in Beirut in 83’ including my best friend from high school. Add every US servicemen and women that have been killed and wounded by Iranian backed forces and Iranian IED’s.
They’ve been a threat ever since 1979 .

Hello,

Am I reading your post correctly to say that the Tsavo rifle will be coming out with a composite stock later this year? I ask because I had been looking very hard for a Tsavo, but if there is going to be a composite stock model I will wait for that.

Thank you for your time,

Andrew

Saw your post. Nice. Denver too. Genesee area (just off 70) if ever up this way. Alternatively, do you have a membership at GGC? Whatever, you'll have a wonderful time in Africa. Enjoy.
