As a German it is always funny to read the Hollywood versions of WW1 and WW2. To the US-guys: please remove your occupation troups from our County and finish WW2 with a Peace contract. Trump was on the right way to do so. Thank you.
Be honest, your troops are not protectors. The protection of Germany is part of a Hollywood view (the other part ist the written history: USA covers the russian war crimes und Russia covers the US war crimes ) .
NATO is dead and should be abolished like the Warsaw pact.
I don't talk about history of WW2. History is written by the winner (Hollywood in the western hemisphere) and i read a lot of it in this threat.
If anybody wants some information about my german view, please feel free to contact me over an email.
If anybody celebrates that victory over Germany, that is ridicolous (best seen every year 9th of may in Moscow). They celebrate that 10-12 russian soldiers have killed 1 german. That is an neutral view, isn't it ?
Now concerning NATO, I would agree that this vehicle, for the purpose of being a front against Russia, has outlived its purpose a bit. I do not longer see Russia as the main threat. I would look a bit more eastward for the real threat... I see Russia rather as a big old bear in his cave next door, best left alone and not messed with its own private affairs. Communist they are definitely no longer, rather an extreme form of predatory capitalism is now in vogue there. In fact, in my mind US+EU should rather come closer in cooperation to Russia than having a bigger wedge between them.
There are 2, and only 2, kinds of government in the entire history of the world:
What Russia is doing, what China is doing (and what the US is doing these days, unfortunately)... not capitalism, and is the result of having no practical limits on their power. The idea of "predatory capitalism" is an idea born of Marx and Engels.
- governments with no limits on their power
- governments with limits on their power.
How different history could be if perhaps more Americans had shown some backbone....perhaps.
but perhaps if more Germans had shown some backbone, like this guy...

we are all either free moral agents, or we are not. if we are not, then we're incapable of "sinning" (however one may define that word)
we are all responsible for our own actions, or we are not. but if we are not, then we're no better than barnyard animals.
But it’s ok that not enough Germans had the backbone to say “no” to what one man, one “leader”, wanted done to millions of people?
Or, it could be to make political move to make tree huggers happy, since it looks they are loosing the grounds on action to ban the trophy imports.
Geez, now what? I guess we'll have to politely ask that steer to lay down and die so we can eat steak.Well the uk government has started its push against farmers and hunters....fkup
