Lol.. sadly, that is not all that uncommon.. or even the worst I have seen over the years...

When I worked at a previous employer, we had about 5500 former Ugandan "cops" and "soldiers" working for us (Im pretty sure 3/4 or more of them had never seen a uniform in their lives, much less actually worn one)...

Firearms training was always.... ummmmm..... interesting... whenever we would get a group of new hires in for the first few weeks..

Ultimately most of them ended up being pretty decent troops..

But the first 7-10 days was typically either hysterical.. or terrifying...


Firearms wasnt even the worst of it.. dont get me started on "medical" issues.. like the guy we caught giving another guy a bathroom circumcision with a pocket knife because he thought that would cure herpes.. or the guy whose feet hurt to the point he couldnt work.. who couldnt figure out the reason for his pain was he had been wearing 2 left boots for an entire shift..

Again, most of these guys ended up being really good troops by the time training was finished..

But take a guy out of the bush thats never seen a "western" toilet before you tell him to go take a shower and take care of some personal hygiene issues.. and you'd be amazed what you'll find 30 minutes later when you check back in on him...
